What is Worth Choosing
For New Jersey diners, Bahn Pho represents an unmissable destination for top-tier Vietnamese food. What makes it truly worth choosing is the combination of authentic culinary depth and modern dining convenience.
The Special Pho - Pho Dac Biet is often cited as the ultimate choice for a reason. This traditional soup, featuring rare steak, flank, brisket, beef ball, and tendon, all swimming in that famously rich, multi-day simmered broth, is the definitive expression of Vietnamese comfort food. For those who prefer a different protein or mix, the Pick Your Own Pho option allows for perfect customization. As one local fan put it, the pho is "better than most of the pho I had even in New York," which is high praise in the region.
Beyond the soups, the Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef Noodle Soup) receives high marks for its complex, non-artificial flavor profile, appealing to those who enjoy a bit of heat and depth. For a lighter, fresher starter, the Summer Roll - Goi Cuon is a must-try, praised for its fresh mint, vermicelli, and peanut sauce, and the Papaya Salad - Goi Du Du is unique and highly refreshing.
The expansive menu also offers fantastic alternatives for diners not in the mood for soup. The Bo Luc Lac - Shaking Beef, Lemongrass Chilli Chicken, and Vermicelli Bowl offer flavorful, well-portioned, and satisfying main courses. And for a delicious and quick lunch, the classic Vietnamese Bahn Mi sandwich is an excellent choice.
The Vegan Commitment: A final and powerful reason to choose Bahn Pho is their genuine attention to plant-based diners. Offering a full range of vegan soups, rolls, and mains means that everyone in a party can enjoy authentic Vietnamese flavors without compromise. The rave reviews on dishes like the Vegan Bahn Mi and Tofu Summer Rolls demonstrate that these options are not merely afterthoughts but celebrated, flavorful additions to the menu.
In conclusion, Bahn Pho is a celebrated pillar of Asian cuisine in Hoboken, providing an authentic, high-quality, and diverse dining experience that resonates deeply with the local New Jersey community. From the first spoonful of their legendary pho broth to the last bite of a perfectly crisp spring roll, a visit to Bahn Pho promises a genuinely flavorful and satisfying culinary journey.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Still can’t get over the food, it’s been 4 days and I’m still thinking about it. This place is so underrated! Every dish felt like it was made with care, and all my customizations were done perfectly. The veggies were super fresh and high quality. The lotus salad was unique and refreshing, and the banh mi had soft bread with incredibly juicy meat. Also loved how many veggie options they had. Honestly, this meal made me feel like I’m ready for a Vietnam country tour 😛Definitely going back. Highly recommend!
June 19 · Varun SrikanthBest authentic Vietnamese food in Hoboken and Jersey city for sure!! The Bun Bo Hue and pho are very flavorful and not filled with oils/ artificial flavorings. You can really tell they put love into their food and let the broth simmer the flavors through. The salads and summer rolls are also used with fresh ingredients. Prices are reasonable to the portion sizes they serve. This is definitely a great addition and a staple for Asian food in the area! Must try!
March 09 · Olivia HAmbiance (4/5): The interior is minimalistic and tight. However, the venue is bright, clean, and cozy. The tables sit on top of each other.Service (4/5): We walked in around 7:30 on a Saturday and luckily was seated immediately but the restaurant was at full capacity. There were 2 people on the floor running from the kitchen and manning the front so they were absolutely slammed with the rush hour of evening peak dinner time. Scan the QR code on the check to pay instead of waiting for them to check you out.Banh Mi (4/5): Overall, the banh mi was delicious. The lightly pickled carrots and daikon gave the sandwich a crunchy bite among the creaminess from the mayo. My qualm was that the bread was a bit dry and chewy at the same time. Wish the meat was more flavored and had cucumbers.Pho (5/5): Wow the broth has so much flavor, depth, and umami! The bowls were very generous on the portions of noodles and protein ($15-16). The rare steak cuts were silky and soft. The side platter came with bean sprouts and mint.Bo Hue (unrated): This was not for me as the dish usually contains some shrimp paste (I could taste it). The spice level was great and had a ton of variety of proteins.Warning: Sadly both my boyfriend and myself had stomach issues for the remainder of the night. While we did not experience pain, rank gas and a few trips to the bathroom for relief (Dined evening of 4/12/25)
April 15 · Steph WTried special bang pho with beef brisket. Broth was really tasty. Rice wrapper tastes okay
August 24 · Mr PranayI absolutely loved everything we shared: the sandwich, rice and 3 color dessert. Everything was tasty and at a great price! It looks like a small business, so please be mindful and supportive! If you expect a fast service because you are in a rush, this is not the place. This place is for mindful & delightful experience. The girl working there is very nice and kind! The service, food and experience are absolutely worth it! We loved it and will come back for the noodles!
