It’s a place designed for a quick stop for a drink, a pre-dinner appetizer, or a leisurely evening spent with friends. The concept is simple yet effective, focusing on an impressive selection of Italian wines served alongside a curated menu of authentic Italian small plates and hot-pressed panini. The name, "Veloce," which means "fast" in Italian, hints at its quick and efficient service, making it an ideal choice for both a planned outing and a spontaneous decision. With its intimate setting, a great wine list, and a menu that’s perfect for sharing, Bar Veloce stands out as a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience a slice of Italy in the heart of New York.
The atmosphere at Bar Veloce is one of its most defining characteristics. The space is often described as casual, cozy, and trendy, making it feel like a local favorite from the moment you step inside. The interior is intimate, with a long, narrow layout that encourages conversation and a sense of camaraderie, whether you're seated at the bar or at a small table. The music is generally good, and while it can get louder as the night progresses, it remains conducive to conversation. This warm and inviting ambiance is complemented by a staff that, for the most part, is known for being fast and attentive, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. The a-cappella service is part of the efficient model, a small nod to the 'Veloce' name. Bar Veloce is a place that feels both refined and laid-back, offering a sophisticated experience without any of the pretension.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This was a nice stop for a drink before our reservation at Delice and Sarrasin. I was so surprised to see that happy hour was from 3 to 7 EVERYDAY! Even on a Saturday! I got a $7 glass of rosato and my partner for a couple $5 beers. We sat at the bar and enjoyed that, but if you're lucky you might get a spot outside.
April 20 · Isabel SeibertBartender was arrogant. Would set down drinks and not say anything and Like put them out of reach. They wouldn't put on the live Mets game instead played a replay of f1 because they refuse to play American sports. I know it's not a sports bar but the way they went about it was rude.
May 31 · Lilly SteevesOne of the best wine spots in EV. This is one of there few locations in the city and they just opened after a renovation that seems to have elevated the ambience and class of the place. Went for a glass of wine on Wednesday night, enjoyed the vibe so much we ended back here on Sunday for the same glass of wine. Try the Borolo. It’s absolutely incredible!
February 09 · Avi RakeshI don’t know how anyone can say anything negative about this neighborhood staple. The service is always great, the happy hour specials are unpretentious and perfect, and the staff are always kind and welcoming. I live in the neighborhood and often come here with my little dog to read and relax, and I am always welcomed with a smile and a cold drink. This is one of the most underrated staples in the neighborhood. So if you haven’t been here before, you definitely should plan a visit.
October 19 · Chalene Gallagherwaiter didn’t check on us for almost an hour then came around 10 minutes after happy hour ended to take a second round, disappointing service!
