Brix Haus is not just another ice cream parlor; it’s a destination for those seeking a unique and high-quality frozen treat. The shop distinguishes itself with its inventive flavors, handcrafted in Brooklyn, and a special churning process that results in a denser, chewier product—a delicious hybrid of American ice cream and Italian gelato. This technique gives their scoops a luxurious, satisfying texture that keeps customers coming back for more.
The atmosphere at Brix Haus is welcoming and casual. While a few locations have been noted, the Park Slope spot on Fifth Avenue has established itself as a must-visit. It's the kind of place that feels like a classic neighborhood spot, where you can grab a cup or a cone and enjoy a moment of sweet indulgence.
Beyond just ice cream, Brix Haus has expanded its offerings to act as a full-fledged cafe. In addition to their frozen delights, they also serve coffee from a local Brooklyn roaster, a selection of house-made pastries, and even a variety of sandwiches and salads, creating a versatile space that can satisfy a craving at any time of day. This "Soup and Scoop" approach, as they call their winter menu, adds a unique and cozy dimension to the ice cream shop experience, making it a year-round destination.

What is worth choosing?
Brix Haus is a must-visit for any ice cream lover in New York, particularly for those in the Brooklyn area. What makes it truly special is the dedication to crafting a unique and high-quality product. The texture of the ice cream is what sets it apart; it's a smooth, rich, and dense experience that is hard to find elsewhere. This focus on a distinctive product gives it a clear edge in a crowded market.
The ever-changing flavors are another reason to visit again and again. While other shops might stick to the classics, Brix Haus experiments with whimsical and intense flavors like Thai Iced Tea and Popcorn, providing a constant element of surprise and delight. This creativity, combined with the fact that they make all their own mix-ins and toppings, showcases a level of craftsmanship that is worth celebrating.
For a single scoop, the classic flavors like vanilla are a great choice, with customers noting its perfect balance of sweetness and rich, authentic flavor. However, the true adventure lies in their unique concoctions. The "Crackerjack Sundae" is a highly recommended "pro order," praised for its rich popcorn ice cream and combination of textures. The hand-packed pints are a great way to bring the Brix Haus experience home.
In a neighborhood with plenty of dessert options, Brix Haus stands out not only for its quality but also for its efficiency. Customers often note the shorter wait times compared to nearby competitors, making it a great option for a spontaneous treat. Ultimately, choosing Brix Haus means supporting a local, Brooklyn-made business that is passionate about creating a truly exceptional ice cream experience, from the first scoop to the last.

July 30 · Michael ChengObsessed with this ice cream! So creamy. So flavorful but naturally and not too sweet. The flavors are fun. I’ve never seen an olive oil cake but had to get it. Came in for strawberry! The strawberry was delicious mixed with a scoop of olive oil. now I can’t wait to come back and try all the flavors.
June 16 · AMGreat new ice cream addition to Park Slope featuring unique and standard flavors. The prices are also very reasonable. Tried the popcorn this time, looking forward to checking out more flavors
December 04 · AllenSabrina is such a treasure! She goes above and beyond and is so welcoming with her warmth and beautiful smile. The ice cream is phenomenal. I love how, alongside the classics, there are those inventive flavors but they're not complicated with too many ingredients. I really enjoyed the classic chocolate ice cream and the fun sweet potato pie ice cream, which I purchased as a pint.
