Burger Box, Urbanspace - Times Square Introduce
In the ever-moving, high-energy environment of New York's Times Square, finding a quick, satisfying meal is a priority for countless locals and tourists. The area is a melting pot of dining options, from fine dining establishments to fast-casual eateries, and sometimes all you want is a classic hamburger. Burger Box, located within the bustling Urbanspace food hall, offers a straightforward solution for those in search of comfort food on the go. This article will provide an in-depth, factual look at Burger Box, outlining its services, location, and what to expect from this convenient Times Square spot. The content is designed to be informative and helpful for anyone in the New York area considering a visit.
Burger Box positions itself as a place for a quick bite, specializing in hamburgers. The name itself suggests a no-frills approach, focusing on the core product. Located inside the Urbanspace food hall at 1479 Broadway, it operates as part of a larger culinary collective, which is a common format in modern urban dining. This setting provides a casual and communal atmosphere, where you can grab your food and find a spot to sit among a variety of other food vendors. The restaurant's appeal lies in its simplicity and its ability to deliver a classic menu item in a fast-paced environment. It is a popular destination for lunch and dinner, especially for those looking for a speedy and convenient meal.
While a few online reviews from real customers may mention high prices and a wait time, these experiences are important to consider within the context of Times Square. The area is known for its higher-than-average prices and constant flow of people, which can impact service speed. One customer's review notes a feeling that the burgers are expensive for what you get, and another mentioned a 20-minute wait. However, another positive review mentioned that despite a long wait, the food was "pretty good". The staff is noted for "cranking out burgers," suggesting a high-volume operation doing its best to keep up with the demand. It's a testament to the fast-paced nature of the location, where staff are often overwhelmed but still working hard.
The menu at Burger Box is centered around the hamburger, with options for single and double patties. While some reviews from customers note that certain standard toppings were missing from their order, the menu as advertised generally includes lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Other available toppings and sauces may include a variety of options, from bacon and pickled jalapenos to different mayos and barbecue sauce. It's important for customers to be clear about their orders and to double-check their food, as with any high-volume, quick-service eatery. The restaurant's focus on a limited, core menu allows it to specialize in comfort food, making it a reliable spot for a classic craving.
The Urbanspace location is a major benefit, as it offers a communal dining area and a variety of other food and drink options, making it a good choice for groups where not everyone wants a burger. The casual atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed meal, whether you're dining solo during a lunch break or grabbing a bite with family. For parents, the fact that Burger Box is considered "good for kids" is an added bonus, as the simple menu and fast service can be ideal for younger diners. This establishment's straightforward approach to dining is what makes it a practical and functional choice in a neighborhood where time is often a luxury.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This has to be one of the most expensive burgers in the area for what you get. We ordered two regular burgers, no cheese and added bbq sauce and raw onion to one burger and pickled jalapenos, raw onion and chilli mayo to the other. After waiting about 15 minutes the burgers arrived and what a disappointment! No lettuce, tomato or pickle as is advertised as standard on all of their burgers. A smattering of sauce, so little so didn't add anything to the overall burger, and some chopped up onions. Basically a lightly toasted bun with a beef patty, chopped raw onion and a whiff of sauce. With the extras one burger came to $7.45 and the other $$8.20. Here are some guys cashing in on the Times Square tourist trade. Clearly they don't expect any repeat business so don't care what people think. They also advertise fries as part of the menu but don't actually sell them.Pay a visit to In-n-Out Burger joint and get a far superior burger for $2.10 and in half the time! What a rip off!
August 23 · Chris HExpensive and a long wait. I felt really bad for the 2 guys working, they were just overwhelmed, but they kept cranking out burgers and fries. I thought it was pretty good, although we had to wait 20 min for our food.
April 02 · Jason BrowneI’m a tourist from the south and these mid-west beef cheeseburgers are the best burgers I’ve ever had. I’ve had one everyday the 4 days I’ve been here. It’s worth the price.
March 18 · Jeremy MichauxNot worth what they cost. I paid for a bacon cheeseburger but by the time I got back to work, I was disappointed because there was no bacon and the burger was sloppy >:(
November 29 · Mirian Ramosthe burgers here are not worth the price. I understand it’s located right in Times Square, but unless you really have no better options, spend your money on better food.
