★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1First visit and can't wait to try everything else on the menu. Forgot to take pics of the grilled octopus or the beet salad. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, beautiful and delicious. Thank you for a memorable experience.
October 21 · Sonia SchenkerThe food and ambience are excellent. The first time I came when they first opened, they had sold out of the focaccia. I was so excited to finally be able to try it and I can confirm, it’s worth the hype.If you’re ordering the squash soup or any of the pastas, the focaccia is a MUST to be able to dip in the soup or scoop up the rest of the delicious sauces left on the plate. The grilled octopus was tender and delicious, and the saffron risotto felt like a warm hug. The cocktail I had was bright and bubbly and refreshing. The service was excellent and all the staff were very friendly.
October 18 · Hale AmploBeautiful, cavernous space. Open kitchen, well staffed, good service especially considering they’ve only been open 10 weeks. We enjoyed a nice bottle of Chardonnay, the fried calamari w local fish, fennel salad, burger, broccoli rabe, and duck lettuce wraps. Great stop before Mayo for a show.
September 25 · Tina MarinaccioA large restaurant int eh Sanofi building, if you're a Sanofi employee you get a discount (bring your badge). Service was ok, not too frequent but good change of plates and cups as you went through the meal.Lunch had a special but we opted for the regular menu. The steak was delicious, black angus bottom sirloin, cooked properly medium rare, lovely chimichurri and came with a lot of somewhat bitter gourmet salad (I asked for salad instead of fries, but apparently you normally get both- that was unclear to me). Steak portion was small, but for $26 a good lunch size, I guess. Also unclear... a very cloudy, iced tea. Not sure why - at first, the little bitterness made me think of iced coffee instead. Anyway, it was ok, but not really what I wanted in iced tea.Dessert - blueberry panna cotta was small... they brought a spoon that barely was big enough, then one that was almost too big for what looked like a little 2 oz. cup. When the three blueberries looked giant on there, well, I wish there was more. Not bad, but not firm enough. Also, the end receipt had a strange charge on it - they apologized, wasn't sure how that was on there, and we added a tip after they removed it.
August 13 · Hank ChangI've visited 3 times now, once for lunch and twice for dinner. The Gulf Shrimp pasta and rotisserie chicken (lunch portion pictured) are excellent and not too heavy. For appetizers, I thought both the duck lettuce wraps and the fried pickled green tomatoes were very good. The duck and tomatoes themselves tasted great and they went well with the lettuce they were served with. I had mixed feelings about the sauces each dish came with but the flavors are bold so I can see others enjoying them.Scallops and tuna (appetizer) tasted very good. The only dish I've had that I didn't like was the focaccia lunch appetizer. It came with a variety of toppings that didn't really work together. The bread itself was very good once I scraped the toppings off and I think it would be better if they were served on the side. Desserts are very good as well.Portion sizes for everything leans on the smaller side but the quality of ingredients makes it worthwhile in my opinion. The service has always been good, but comparing my most recent visit to the ones shortly after they opened it's clear they've gotten even better.Would recommend a reservation as they're always busy. However, as a solo diner, I've always been able to walk in and get one of their counter seats.
