★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Came here specifically for the chocolate chip cookie and it did not disappoint! Loved the crispy edges and the melty soft center with good amounts of chocolate chip! Also ordered an iced latte which was very basic wasn’t the best iced latte I ever had. Wouldn’t order again or would try something else. Did not have good seating very limited if you are not there early to grab a seat.
June 17 · Ada IpThis place was exactly what I needed this morning. I honestly didn’t expect New York baristas to be so upbeat first thing in the morning. I always assumed New Yorkers were grumpy by default, especially before caffeine. But the team at Culture Espresso proved me wrong. The vibe was strong, the smiles were authentic, and the energy they brought was contagious in the best way.It really is amazing what a genuine smile and a simple “you’re all set” can do when they slide that warm, ceramic cup across the counter. Especially after the kind of night I had...missing the last bus home, tossing and turning on a stiff hostel bunk, and jolted awake every hour by the guy below me shifting and shaking the entire metal frame like a subway train was crashing through the wall. This morning I asked ChatGPT where I could find the best cappuccino near Port Authority, and Culture Espresso came up. So I went. And I’m glad I did.The baristas greeted me warmly. We even shared a quick chat about ChatGPT, which instantly made me feel like I was in the right place. My cappuccino was expertly crafted, poured with care, and placed in front of me in minutes. I took my seat by the window and watched the city slowly come to life... or at least watched a guy casually leaning on a wall and digging into his nose like it was a full-time job. Classic NYC.This city never stops. It’s full of beautiful people, endless streets, and transportation options that’ll make your head spin. Cabs, buses, Ubers, trains, bikes. It’s overwhelming and fascinating all at once. And yet, somehow, tucked around a corner in all that chaos, I found a moment of calm. A pocket of peace. Culture Espresso gave me that. The shop wasn’t overcrowded, the atmosphere felt genuine, and the cappuccino? It wasn’t overpriced, which is a rare thing to say in Manhattan. In a place where everything moves too fast and everything costs too much, this little spot felt grounded. Human. Warm. And maybe that’s the real definition of culture. A cup of pressed beans and foamed milk saying: relax, you got this.A true gem. Maybe not so hidden. But definitely worth the walk.Thank you, Culture Espresso.
June 07 · pentley holmesThe barista here is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He makes a great espresso macchiato. No not the giant Starbucks sugared up macchiato the real traditional tiny macchiato with a small amount of milk in it. The flavor and presentation were perfect. The ambience and the service fantastic.
March 22 · Mel DoMy first time in NY and my last day in NY and I finally got the coffee of my dreams. It scratched an itch for a flavor and finish I’ve been after. Thank you fine gentlemen.Hours later Update: Husband went back for me to get a badass tote bag and a Korn cookie. Oh my Lord the Korn cookie is incredible. The tote bag is so damn cool, it’s a Baggu collab and wonderful quality. Extra strap, button closures and a zipper pocket.
June 11 · Marissa CabralesI enjoy going to the Port Authority—said no one ever. But a stop for a cookie at Culture Coffee actually has me looking forward to getting on a bus. It sounds crazy, but it's true. My favorites are corn and chocolate chip. Bonus points for when they're right out of the oven (and they almost always feel like they’re right out of the oven).
