I’ve been visiting this restaurant for years. And though I’ve moved out of the neighborhood, still come back for the wonderful service, chill atmosphere, and delicious Donato’s special. My husband and I held our small wedding celebration in the outdoor patio area and the staff was amazing (allowing us to bring in our own cake). This is a neighborhood gem. 💎💖🍝🤌🏼

This is our neighborhood local..and frequent often out of convenience more than anything but this review is more about staff, particularly one outside waiter, black curly hair..He is SO rude, dismissive, and just not helpful. He does the bare minimum and actually seems annoyed if you ask him anything.. He never brought us any bread until we asked, and when it did come, it was stale.. He barely came near us the rest of the time.. We ordered a shrimp appetizer and it had 3 Shrimp on a pathetic piece of old lettuce. Presentation very poor, and for 2 people I feel 4 Shrimp would have been appreciated. My main issue is with this waiter. He does not provide good friendly service and brings down the atmosphere of the place.. He clearly is unhappy here, so I strongly suggest he go elsewhere! He is also rude to children. My 16 year old daughter sat with her friend here outside in August and ordered a full meal in 90 degree heat. She asked for water wuth her meal, and he never brought her water to drink. Seriously? It is common practice here that water is brought out immediately once ordered or even before the order...Totally unacceptable. I will say the owners here are lovely, and the young lady that brought us out waters etc.was lovely. Again, this server brings the whole place down.

I had a wonderful experience! My server Walter was absolutely amazing—attentive, friendly, and made sure I had everything we needed throughout the meal. Nicole, the bus girl, was also fantastic—super polite and efficient, keeping our table clean and making sure we were comfortable. The food was delicious as well—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Overall, a great dining experience thanks to the excellent service and great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

The service here is fantastic! Very accommodating, friendly, hospitable. The food is delicious! Granted, I kept it simple but sometimes simplicity is what you need. For those complaining about the CC tax, they have it stated on the front of their menu! It's not a surprise, it's printed in b&w.I'm new to the neighborhood but I can see myself coming back for another solo date! If you love an Aperol Spritz, order it. It's HUGE and perfectly balanced. Donato’s is a classic neighborhood Italian restaurant with great food at reasonable prices. We loved the crab cakes, eggplant rollatini, and linguine with white clam sauce. The professional wait staff is awesome and attentive. Great selection of wines and desserts too.
