Doughnuttery Introduce
In a city with an endless number of dining options, finding a place that offers a truly unique and memorable experience is a delight. Doughnuttery, located within the bustling Turnstyle Underground Market, stands out by specializing in something a little different: hot, fresh, and uniquely sugared mini doughnuts. This isn't your typical donut shop with large, pre-made pastries behind a glass case. Instead, it’s a dynamic and engaging counter service where you can watch the entire process, from the dough being dropped into the fryer to the final product being coated in one of their many proprietary sugar blends. This focus on freshness and a novel concept makes it a fun destination for both a quick visit and a deliberate treat.
Doughnuttery's menu revolves around its signature mini doughnuts, sold in quantities of 6, 12, 25, or even 100. The magic of the experience comes from the unique sugar coatings, which range from classic Cinnamon Sugar to more exotic and creative options. This allows for a completely customizable order, letting you mix and match flavors to find your perfect combination. The shop also offers a selection of beverages, including hot and cold coffee and tea, lemonade, and even specialty drinks like popping boba refreshers, making it a comprehensive stop for a sweet snack and a drink. The atmosphere is casual, lively, and family-friendly, and it's also noted as an LGBTQ+ friendly establishment, welcoming a diverse crowd of New Yorkers and tourists alike. The counter service model and quick visit planning make it ideal for the fast-paced nature of its location.
However, as with any high-traffic food spot, experiences can vary. Some customer reviews have expressed disappointment, comparing the doughnuts unfavorably to larger, more traditional options and noting that the price point can be high for the small size. Others have voiced frustration over specific offerings, such as the gluten-free rice krispie treat, suggesting that while the mini doughnuts may be a hit, not all menu items meet the same standard of quality. Despite these comments, the core appeal of hot, fresh, and uniquely flavored doughnuts often makes it a destination for those seeking something different. The visible process of making the doughnuts and the customizable nature of the sugars are key elements that draw customers in, creating an experience that's as much about the show as it is about the food.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1they make better Donuts at Dunkin Donuts. also for better prices. You can also check out the well known Duck Donuts which is significantly better than here. IN terms of NYC gems, this one misses the note. Don't waste your money here, it'll probably save you a trip to the bathroom for an hour later!
July 16 · KarinaThe $6 vegan/gluten free rice kripsie treat is absolutely disgusting. Do not waste your money. Being gluten free I'm used to paying higher prices for food. I had high hopes for this treat. After all this place makes delicious doughnuts, but can't be bothered making GF doughnuts. I threw out the rice kripsie treat after a bite. Such a waste of money.
August 11 · Janet KimRegret coming here 🤢 was trying to give the place the benefit of the doubt on how good I heard about the donuts however I had to wait long for 12 donuts, place didn’t look too clean unlike the other restaurants down there, flies were flying around the donuts and lastly these donuts wasn’t all tasty as all overall place wasn’t the cleanest to visit, i didn’t have an good experience I don’t see how the Kardashians are obsessed with these when there’s BETTER AND AMAZING DONUTS out here in nyc like donut pub or the mini donuts in Harlem.
August 08 · Nene Edwardsi dont know about their regular donuts but their packaged vegan "donuts" are almost $7 and just a (stale) rice crispy treat with overly sweet icing on top in the shape of a donut. coffee was good though and the guy working was really nice
June 11 · julietIf you want to feel like an inconvenience and an afterthought, try to be a customer of this place! Love the products- even at those prices- but they make getting anything frustrating and defeating. If you’re first in line, they’ll take your order and then take a few more orders after you and make those first, before eventually getting to yours. If you order online, they won’t make anything, won’t tell you, and won’t answer their phone. And when you show up today as the only person in line, they’ll let you stand there for a few minutes before taking your order, and then tell you it’ll be a while because they’ve got several big online orders ahead of you, which (I guess) they’ve decided to take this time. Just not from you. The last three times I’ve been here, I’ve walked away empty handed and disappointed.
