★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This place is known for their sandwiches, so I went in without expecting much. I picked two that looked decent from the menu photos—turns out, they were both bacon, egg, and cheese. They come with a latke inside, which adds a great crispy texture to the soft, egg-heavy roll. The toasted bagel sandwich really stood out—the bagel itself was fantastic. It had that perfect mix of fluffy and crunchy, with just a hint of heat that gave it a kick. Honestly, it might be one of the best bacon, egg, and cheese bagels I’ve had in NYC.
July 29 · Sanguk “Namkoo” AhnFirst time here and I ordered a BLT. Ended up being more of a tomato sandwich than a BLT. Heavy emphasis on the T in BLT. The sandwich has three strips of small bacon in the entire thing and was all tomato for $17. Extremely disappointed. I’m sure the other sandwiches are better but I would not recommend the BLT unless you want a TOMATO sandwich. The flavor was fine, slow service as well.
August 03 · Ken WaldenEdith’s sandwich counter, is a gem in New York City, became my go-to spot for a satisfying sandwich. While visiting with my family, we were introduced to this place and couldn’t resist trying their pastrami with bagel. The pastrami was a perfect combination of fat and lean, so many flavors that left me craving more.Be prepared to make a little effort to find a seat. Edith’s has limited seating. So, you might have to venture a few steps away to a nearby stoop and enjoy your delicious meal. This all makes the experience that much more memorable.
May 14 · Dr. Fransisco FloresEdith’s in West Village is a 10/10. The Edith—their classic pastrami sandwich—is incredible. Their iced coffee slushy is unique and delicious. The atmosphere feels like a classic diner and they have nice outdoor seating. Highly recommend!
May 07 · Hannah LeeWe ordered the Edith, the totkes with the special sauce, and cookies to go. Only when we got home did we realized that despite having been charged $2 for the sauce for the totkes, we weren’t given the sauce. Knocking one star off for that. The food that we did get was tasty, albeit very heavy. Worth the try, but not sure that it’s worth coming back to.
