What a gem! No plans of drinking but as soon I passed this gem I instantly turned back and went inside. Big open front with decent size bar. I always love to sit at bar. The bartenders were absolute sweethearts. Started off with draught beer and ended up with martinis. And oh boy ! When I say martini then this place makes some mean Vesper Martini. The bartender fetched a homemade vodka from below the counter and after that I had to uber back home.I just love this place ! It has a vibe! - Gautam C

El Camino Introduce

When it comes to finding that perfect neighborhood bar in New York City, it often feels like searching for a hidden treasure. El Camino, nestled in the vibrant East Village, is exactly that—a true gem. This bar has a reputation that precedes it, not for being the loudest or the most exclusive spot, but for its genuine, undeniable "vibe" that makes you want to turn around and walk right in. It’s a place where the doors are often open, creating a welcoming and breezy front that feels instantly inviting. The atmosphere is best described as a perfect blend of casual and cozy, making it a comfortable destination for groups catching up or for a solo adventurer looking for a great drink and a moment of peace.

What sets El Camino apart is its combination of an excellent drinks menu and a surprisingly delightful food selection. While its primary identity is that of a bar, it takes its offerings seriously. Customers rave about the well-crafted cocktails and the knowledgeable, friendly bartenders who are more than happy to guide you to your new favorite drink. The bar is known for making "mean" martinis, with one customer specifically praising a Vesper Martini made with a unique, homemade vodka. This attention to detail and personal touch is a hallmark of the service at El Camino, making every visit feel special and authentic. It's a place that doesn’t just serve drinks; it serves an experience.

Beyond the drinks, El Camino has a "sleeper hits" food menu. While you might not come here for a full meal, the snacks and bites are memorable and complement the drinks perfectly. The fact that the bar is a small, intimate space only adds to its charm, creating a coveted spot that locals hope to snag on any given night. The communal, friendly energy of the space is a big part of what makes it so popular.

Ultimately, what is most worth choosing about El Camino is its undeniable "vibe."
