---When it comes to choosing what to eat and drink at El Ta’Koy, the brunch menu is a must-try. It's a "super unique Asian-Hawaiian fusion" that offers a station with slow-roasted Hawaiian pork, a delicious "Hawaiian chicken and waffles topped with pineapple chutney," and classic "SPAM fried rice." These dishes showcase the restaurant’s creative approach to traditional flavors. For a lighter bite, the "Crispy Chicken Sandwich" is a solid choice, served with crispy chips, and the "Kahlua Pork Tacos" are a popular option, with tender, juicy pork that's worth the mess. The "Popcorn Chicken" is another favorite, praised for its crispy breading and tender meat, enhanced by a sweet-spicy Filipino glaze.
Beyond the food, the cocktails are a highlight. With a full bar onsite, you can find a variety of offerings, including classic cocktails, beer, wine, and hard liquor. The fresh and tart mocktails are a great option for non-drinkers, and the overall quality of the drinks is praised by many. The "Bellini" and "Bloody Mary" are classic brunch choices, while the "Hawaiian Fried Chicken" and "Malasadas" (a type of doughnut) add to the exotic charm of the brunch offerings. The option for live music on Sundays adds a festive element to the brunch experience, making it a perfect weekend outing.
Overall, El Ta’Koy is worth choosing for its unique culinary concept, lively atmosphere, and great cocktails. It's a place to go for an elevated dining experience that feels both fun and special. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The food at El Ta’Koy was pretty good overall. The waitress was kind but didn’t seem like there was much staff. Got a mocktail that was also tart and fresh. Definitely on the pricier side.🌮 Kahlua Pork Tacos: The pork was soft and the taco overall had a lot of juice. Despite them looking small, it took quite a few bites to finish each taco which was pleasantly surprising. Just eat the tacos over the plate because they’ll each drip a lot of juice.🍔 Crispy Chicken Sandwich: The sandwich was pretty good and came with a side of chips that were crispy. There are cute lil bottles of ketchup and mayo that come with this dish.🍗 Popcorn Chicken: The breading of the popcorn chicken was quite crispy and the chicken was tender. The sauce added a bit of much needed flavor that I really liked.
April 18 · Cheok Meng LawLoved our brunch here last Sunday, very nice rooftop views and a cool menu. The brunch menu is a super unique Asian-Hawaiian fusion offering up a slow roasted Hawaiian pork station, Hawaiian chicken and waffles topped with pineapple chutney, SPAM fried rice, mini maple pancakes and all the brunch cocktails! It’s such a vibe — dining poolside with these views! There is also live music from 11:30am-3:30pm.
