Empada's Brazil Introduce
For New Jersey residents looking to experience the vibrant, comforting flavors of authentic Brazilian street food and casual dining, Empada's Brazil is a standout destination. Located in Newark’s famed Ironbound district, this Brazilian restaurant specializes in the beloved savory pastries and snacks that form the heart of Brazil's quick-service and comfort food culture. The very name, "Empada's Brazil," highlights one of its key offerings—the empada, a delicious, small, shortcrust pie typically filled with ingredients like chicken, cheese, or shrimp, often considered a classic main meal or substantial snack in Brazil.
Empada's Brazil is more than just a place for a quick bite; it offers an authentic culinary journey into the country's celebrated salgados (savory snacks). It’s positioned as a perfect spot for both a filling lunch and a casual dinner, appealing to solo diners, groups, and families alike. Customers consistently praise the food for being "delicious" and the staff for being "courteous" and "super friendly," establishing a reputation for quality cuisine served with true Brazilian hospitality. As one satisfied patron from Western NJ noted, the chance to enjoy authentic dishes like chicken coxinha and ham and cheese empanadas makes the trip worthwhile, especially for those who lack such options in their immediate area.
The restaurant is located at 108 Jabez St, Newark, NJ 07105, USA. This address places it within a section of the Ironbound neighborhood, an area well-known throughout New Jersey for its rich Luso-Brazilian heritage and vibrant culinary scene. While not on a main thoroughfare like Ferry Street or Wilson Avenue, its location near other businesses in the district makes it a recognizable and accessible food destination for those familiar with the area.
For local New Jersey users, the Ironbound is typically accessible via major highways like I-95 (NJ Turnpike) and Route 1&9, or by NJ Transit trains and buses serving Newark Penn Station, which is a key transit hub not far from the restaurant. While street parking can be competitive, as is common in the Ironbound, the location is generally considered convenient for those traveling to the area specifically for its dining experiences.
A significant highlight of Empada's Brazil's physical location is its commitment to accessibility, which is detailed in the publicly available information. This thoughtfulness ensures a welcoming experience for all members of the community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I ordered to-go around 10:30am. They had some leftover, which I am ok with, it was delicious either way. I had asked for "cheese balls" but they didn't have any. I was told there would be some around noon, but I'm over 50 minutes from this place so I wasn't trying to wait. I bought 3 coxinha with chicken, and 3 empanadas with ham and cheese. I thought that both were delicious. My son liked the chicken coxinha and my mother preferred the ham and cheese empanada. Overall I would recommend this place, food was delicious, staff was courteous. I live in western NJ. We don't have these places in my area. I knew I was already close by and wanted good food, used Google and stumbled upon this place. Would definitely recommend purchasing food from here.
