Foreign Objects Beer Company Monroe Introduce
For New Yorkers who consider craft beer an art form—especially those who appreciate the complex, juicy profiles of Hazy IPAs—**Foreign Objects Beer Company Monroe** is a must-visit destination in the scenic Hudson Valley. More than just a bar, this establishment is a dedicated Beer Hall and the physical taproom for a brewer-owned company that is deeply committed to the expressive, philosophical, and sensory possibilities of brewing.
Local enthusiasts have hailed this spot as "hazy paradise," placing it among the best that New York State has to offer for this particular style of beer. Foreign Objects’ brewing philosophy centers on what they term the "New American Hoppy Ale," which pushes the boundaries of aroma and flavor. Their taproom is the ideal place to experience their creations, such as the critically acclaimed **Wet Gravity**, **Mind/Body/Light/Sound**, or the aptly named **Fascination Street**—each an obsession with dense, layered hop character from Citra, Mosaic, and Vic Secret varietals.
The experience is intentionally eclectic, reflecting the brewery's visionary approach. The interior features industrial elements like steel I-beams and exposed ducting, balanced by colorful murals and unique design accents, creating an approachable and engaging space. One customer noted the location is "low key and unassuming—but worth the 15 minute ride off I-87," highlighting its status as a true destination for serious beer lovers. Whether your preference leans toward a huge Double IPA like **Death Posture** or a fantastic German-style **Pilsner**, the taproom provides a comprehensive and constantly rotating selection.
Beyond the brews, Foreign Objects Beer Company stands out for its inclusive community values, operating as an explicitly **LGBTQ+ friendly** and **Transgender safespace**. This commitment to a welcoming environment ensures that all patrons feel comfortable and valued while enjoying some of the most dynamic craft beer being produced in the region.

## Features / Highlights
The unique identity of Foreign Objects Beer Company is defined by several key features that set it apart from typical New York breweries and bars:
- **Hazy IPA Specialization:** The brewery's core competency lies in the New England/Hazy IPA style, with multiple variations always on tap. Their approach incorporates West Coast beer conditioning, giving their signature NEIPAs a subtle but appreciated layer of bitterness and complexity.
- **Wide-Ranging Beer Styles:** While IPAs are a focus, the menu constantly rotates to include German-style Pilsners, Pale Kellerbiers, robust Porters, and high-ABV Russian Imperial Stouts, appealing to a broad spectrum of beer tastes.
- **Philosophical and Artistic Branding:** The brewery’s ethos is deeply tied to existential and philosophical themes, which are reflected in their esoteric beer names and the psychedelic, watercolor can art designed by a collaborating Seattle-based artist.
- **Rotating Guest Taps:** The venue often features sister beverages from their extensive beverage group, including picks from major names in craft beer, ciders, and meads, providing variety beyond their own productions.
- **Experimental Brewing:** The Monroe facility serves as a testing ground for limited-edition and experimental brews, ensuring the tap list always contains something new and exciting even for frequent visitors.
- **Dedicated Staff:** Customer reviews highlight the knowledgeable and friendly nature of the staff, describing the bartender as "so cool" and service as "excellent, very inviting and knowledgeable."

## What is Worth Choosing
For discerning craft beer drinkers in New York, Foreign Objects Beer Company is worth choosing because it offers a focused, high-quality experience that goes beyond the standard brewpub. It is not simply a bar; it is a pilgrimage site for "hazy paradise" seekers.
The main reason to visit is the beer itself. The consistent excellence of their New American Hoppy Ales—praised for their smooth, hazy bodies and intense hop aromas of stone fruit, citrus, and mango—puts them in direct competition with national-level breweries. Customers have even preferred their brews in blind taste tests against industry giants, a testament to the quality coming out of this Hudson Valley location.
Furthermore, the venue’s intentional atmosphere is a major draw. In a densely populated region like New York, finding a local business that is explicitly a welcoming, **LGBTQ+ friendly**, and **Transgender safespace** is a significant value-add. The "low-key and unassuming" vibe ensures the focus remains on the quality of the company and the complexity of the beverage, not pretense.
The constant rotation of an extensive twenty-tap system means that whether you are an IPA fanatic, a Stout lover, or someone who appreciates a classic, crisp Pilsner, there is always a fresh, thoughtfully crafted pour waiting. By combining highly technical brewing with a welcoming community ethos and an array of convenient services (including easy parking and food options), Foreign Objects Beer Company provides an unparalleled taproom experience that is truly reflective of the innovative and diverse spirit of New York's craft beverage culture.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Absolutely my favorite brewery, hazy paradise. We did a blind taste test with Treehouse Orange Julius and preferred Foreign Objects....also fantastic pilsners... just visited over the St Pat's weekend with the T-McCann band, and our bass player loved the Porter. The bartender is so cool JC with the black hair
April 01 · Callum BenepeIf you're a fan of hazy IPAs, this place is heaven. Foreign Objects brings the absolute best out of this style. Their new spot is low key and unassuming-but worth the 15 minute ride off I-87. FO is among the best NY state has to offer. Go support local beer! Cheers!
November 06 · Steven RoundsSmall nice place, friendly staff, solid beer. Bring your own food,or eat before you come.
October 24 · Rich TracyFun, comfy place with a wide variety of local and COLD beers! Must stop!!Bonus when they feature local bands
August 11 · J HallIf you get the chance to go to this not so well-known gem, then consider yourself lucky!! Two beers stand apart from anything that I’ve experienced in my life. The first is Wet Gravity which is hands down the best IPA that I’ve ever had!! It’s not too hoppy, as I find most IPAs to be, has an excellent flavor profile, is very smooth, and packs a punch as it’s 7.0 ABV! Now, my personal favorite and definitely the best beer that I’ve ever had in my life is the Oblivious Thalassophile… It’s pretty high octane at 8.1% ABV, is the tastiest beer with the most amazing flavor profile that you’ll ever experience, and will keep you coming back for more every time!! It could be easily overlooked, which is what I did with it initially, as it’s billed as a New American Hoppy Ale with the core ingredients of Sabro Hops, Lime Zest, and Vanilla! Trust me as you will thank me for opening your eyes as well as highlighting this spectacular beer that is truly unrivaled!! Most importantly, the staff is genuinely friendly, well educated in regards to beer in general/the beers that they sell, and will happily take the time to listen to your favorite beers, desired flavors, and “needs” in a beverage to make a recommendation suited to you!!
