So kind and welcoming.If you’re in the area, this is worth a stop.I enjoyed the chicken pot pie and my husband enjoyed the shepherds pie, which reminded me of my own mother’s cooking. Yum.

Serving unfussy but "nice" renditions of breakfast staples like pancakes and French toast, and classics like Shepherd's Pie and Chicken Pot Pie. For some reason, it seems like every table is adult kids treating their parents to a homey lunch. It's that kind of vibe. Bright skylights in the main back dining room are key to the charm. Perfect spot to take your parents to lunch and feel transported to the countryside.
August 22 · Ben HoThe food was incredibly tasty, and the restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The decorations were lovely, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I must mention the fresh-squeezed orange juice—it was a refreshing change from the processed juices I’ve had elsewhere. It was so good that I couldn’t resist ordering it again.However, there was one minor issue: the cup size for Americano, coffee, and latte was too small. The handle was so narrow that it was difficult to hold the cup comfortably. Usually, the handle has a large hole that allows your finger to fit through, but this one was too small. I understand that they may have limited supplies, but it would be more convenient if they could offer larger cups.On a positive note, the rest of the food was delicious. We arrived just after opening to try the “from the bakery” special on the menu, but unfortunately, it was already sold out. I was disappointed because I had been looking forward to trying it.
May 13 · Paulo Vitor4.5 stars. The setting at Friend of a Farmer is very quaint and comfortable— perfect for a lazy Sunday brunch. This is a family friendly place with inviting and kind staff. The eggs benedict and the lox toast were beautifully prepared and delicious. The skylights above provide just the right amount of soft lighting. Close to Central Park to follow your meal with a nice walk. Recommended.
May 18 · Dell BrownWhat a beautiful restaurant! Our server Mitchell really made the experience for us- he was amazing! Thoughtful recommendations & the service was so quick we got so lucky coming here as we still had time to make our show and have a delicious dinner. We had the fried chicken as an appetizer & the smoked salmon but the branzino short rib was the real treat. Thank you Mitchell we can’t wait to return!! 10/10
