What is Worth Choosing
When visiting HK Bakery, the best experience comes from sampling the items that define a Hong Kong-style cafe. Customers new to the scene should make a point of trying a few key categories that highlight the bakery’s authenticity and value.
For breakfast, it’s highly recommended to choose one of the Instant Noodle Soup or Macaroni Soup Combos, which perfectly encapsulate the local dining tradition. Items like the Ham With Egg Instant Noodle Soup Combo or Canned Pork With Egg Macaroni Soup Combo offer a savory, comforting, and filling start to the day, often paired with a cake slice and a hot drink. This is Hong Kong comfort food at its best.
From the bakery display, the must-try items are the light and delicate Paper Wrapped Cake and, of course, the classic Egg Tart (as mentioned by satisfied customers). These pastries are made fresh and are the core of the Chinese bakery tradition. Another great choice is the Sweetheart Pastry (Lao Po Bing), a flaky treat with a sweet winter melon filling.
For a heartier lunch or dinner, dive into the classic entrees like the Beef Fried Drunken Noodle (Gon Chow Ngau Ho) or the deeply satisfying Curry Beef Brisket With Rice. To complete your meal, don't miss out on the signature drinks: an iced or hot Milk Tea or the unique blend of a Yuenyeung are essential to the HK cafe experience.
While some customer feedback indicates that certain dishes may be considered average, the overwhelming consensus points to the affordability, speed of service, and authentic bakery items as the compelling reasons to visit. This bakery excels as a quick, cash-friendly, and convenient spot to satisfy a craving for traditional Chinese pastries and Hong Kong-style breakfast fare in Flushing.

HK Bakery Reviews
breakfastmacaronitake outbuns
★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Cantonese style bakery and restaurant. Limited seatings and is mainly for take out. I think the food are really mediocre and even below average. The soup macaroni was the worst I ever had. The price is just alright. Service was great and pretty quick. No bathroom. Some paid parking available outside.
October 16 · SamI came here right when they open at 6:15 AM, and there were already people waiting to get in to buy their breakfast! It’s affordable and delicious, reminded my days when I used to live in Hong Kong. I got salty minced meat doughnut, egg tart, porridge and honey lemon drink, all for less than $12, I’ll be back! CASH ONLY!
November 07 · Kev NghFirst off I wanna say this place is a "DIAMOND IN THE "MUFF"ins, breakfast sandwiches hot soups as well as their "SPOT ON" perculator hot coffee, rich and delicious. No coffee pots nor instant anything. JUST FRESH FOOD!!While I was there just to retrieve a hot coffee for $1.50 the owner was just placing ready made hot piping buns and breakfast buns with ham and cheese. So in the pictures if the shelves look sparse that is because I was there earlier about 550AM to be exact well before their internet posted time. Prices are very reasonable, better than being raped by Dunkin donuts or Starbucks if that is your thing. Parking is metered and ample. And the restaurant has 2 entrances a front door on Northern Parkway Service Road and a back door on 36th, 2 tables with chairs to eat, not really an establishment to dine in. This shop should have been called "Uh HA", I told you so🫵🤣 instead of just " HA."Ha Bakery is south of 25A or Northern Blvd. So go check them out and tell them the Guru* sent you👍The Review GuruLong Island NY
September 10 · The Review Guru*I’ll recommend there meals compared to their bread, pastries, etc.Overall their meal box is cheap and have a lot of options. I didn’t want to have rice so I only bought the beef balls. Wondering how they did it but it was chewy! And tasty definitely. I had their chicken the other day, it was delicious too.But for the durian cake, I like to taste, of course the special smell, the whipped cream was too stiff. The texture was heavy and sticky. Would like to try other stuff next time..!In addition, people r friendly even during the busy time.
December 15 · Julia HFor a brief moment, I felt like I am back in Hong Kong. The few one star rating they got after I read them is BS -- one guy loved the place and food and gave one star? I am giving five here to balance him out -- I probably give this place a four star otherwise. Those who don't understand what is Hong Kong style food won't get it --- the Mcdonlds in HK uses box macaroni for breakfast. One needs to understand Hong Kong style quick food to appreciate it.The running egg yolk egg, toast with the right amount of cheap butter. Coffee with the cheap cream milk. I didn't try lunch but suspect they will have similar ingredients like instant noodle like food.
