★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I started coming to this Hungry Ghost when I was pregnant because I was obsessed with the breakfast tacos, and now my daughter is nine months old it’s still part of our morning routine. At this point I’m confident i’ve met every single person who works here, and they’re all great, definitely not “allergic to friendliness.” My daughter actually lights up when she sees them, which tells you everything you need to know. My vanilla iced latte is always perfect, and there are at least five coffee shops closer to my apartment, but I still walk past them all to come here.
August 16 · Toni LenzerI've been to this coffee shop before and usually enjoy my order, but this time was really disappointing. I ordered the exact same drink I always get, but it tasted like straight-up milk — barely any coffee at all. I knew something was off as soon as I tasted it.I was too nervous to speak up, so my mom went back to ask about it. The guy who made it admitted he purposely added less ice so it would have more milk — even though I never asked for that. Then he told us that if I wanted more espresso, I’d have to pay extra. No apology, no effort to fix it, just attitude.Note to anyone planning to stop by: maybe avoid going around 1:20 PM if you want your drink made right — or if you’d prefer not to be served by someone who acts like a total jerk for no reason.
July 07 · ArianaI visited this cafe today and had a latte. The coffee was okay, but I'm not an expert in coffee. The taste of the latte was balanced, meaning it wasn't too strong or bitter, nor was it too weak. It had a good balance. The staff were friendly, and although the cafe didn't have many tables to sit at, it was overall a decent cafe!
April 04 · Sunny Ma (Sunny)Was super excited to try this spot and was highly recommended it only to be a bit disappointed. Coffee was a great tasting blend but on several visits it was luke warm and not hot. Flavor was delicious when it was served hot. Sadly the service has been lack luster every visit. One notably went from pleasantly engaging the customers before me and a complete switch when serving me. The lack of friendly Battista’s and notable differences in service over multiple visits drives the score. The last visit they were on their phone and before even handing me my drink fully back on it texting. Shame because the coffee has great potential and heard such good things. Maybe another location doesn’t have this problem but I’m sad to report such an off putting experience. Hopefully you have a better experience if you choose to try them for your next hot beverage.
January 09 · Robert YoungBoth pictures are from different days but in the same locations! I love this place! I found this spot when we dropped off our firstborn at Fordham and this has been music to my ears since! I am from Arizona and Cartel Coffee has been my favorite I have had a subscription to them since I tried it eight years ago!, but Hair Bender is a game changer for me! Love it!!
