Kajiken Ramen of Manhattan Introduce
In the bustling and competitive culinary landscape of New York City, Kajiken Ramen of Manhattan stands out by offering a unique and specialized take on a beloved Japanese classic. While many ramen shops focus on the traditional, broth-heavy noodle soup, Kajiken is a pioneer in the city's "abura soba" scene. Abura soba, also known as soupless ramen or dry noodles, is a dish that highlights the rich, special sauces and springy texture of the noodles themselves. This distinction is what makes Kajiken a go-to spot for those seeking a different kind of ramen experience—one that is deeply flavorful, incredibly satisfying, and uniquely customizable. The atmosphere is casual and trendy, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal on your own or with a group of friends. Whether you're a ramen aficionado looking to try something new or a newcomer to Japanese cuisine, Kajiken offers a memorable and delicious introduction to a different side of ramen culture.
The restaurant's core identity revolves around its signature abura soba, a dish that is meant to be mixed thoroughly by the diner at the table to combine all the ingredients and sauces for the best flavor. This interactive element adds to the dining experience, making each bowl a personal creation. The menu features a wide variety of these dry noodle dishes, including popular choices like "The Original Dried Noodles" and the "Sukiyaki Dried Noodles" with marinated beef. For those who prefer a traditional bowl, Kajiken also offers classic tonkotsu ramen. The quality of the food is consistently praised by customers, with special mentions of the noodles' chewy texture and the rich, complex flavors of the sauces and toppings, such as the roasted beef. The prices are considered very reasonable for the portion sizes and quality, especially for a Midtown location, making it a great value for a delicious meal. With fast and friendly service, Kajiken Ramen has established itself as a reliable spot for a quick lunch or a comforting dinner, drawing in a crowd of students, office workers, and tourists alike.
Kajiken Ramen of Manhattan is conveniently located at 1001 6th Ave, New York, NY 10018. This prime address places it in the heart of Midtown, just a short walk from major landmarks and a vast network of public transportation. Its location on Sixth Avenue makes it an easily accessible destination for anyone working or visiting the area, including the Garment District, Herald Square, and Bryant Park. The proximity to these bustling areas ensures a steady flow of customers throughout the day.
The accessibility of the restaurant is one of its major strengths. It is situated near multiple subway stations, including the 42nd Street-Bryant Park stop (B, D, F, M lines) and the 34th Street-Herald Square hub (N, Q, R, W, B, D, F, M lines), providing a wide range of options for commuters from all over the city. Its central location also makes it a great spot for a quick meal before or after a Broadway show or a visit to Times Square. While the provided information mentions free street parking, this is a rarity in Midtown Manhattan, and it is more practical for visitors to rely on public transit or the paid parking garages and lots that are abundant in the area. The restaurant also offers wheelchair-accessible entrances and seating, ensuring that it is a welcoming space for all patrons. The combination of a central location and excellent accessibility makes Kajiken a convenient and appealing choice for any meal.

June 04 · CCCI love the dry noodle! Good portion size for the money worth. It’s a bit salty but it’s to my liking. The appetizer was okay, deep fried mostly.Beer is icy cold and have both Orion and Sapporo on draft
August 12 · Shuanger*food was so good, I forgot to take a picture in the beginningService from Kiki was really great! She was really attentive to our needs and was available to answer any questions we had. Provided great recommendations and always had our water cups filled! Coming back for some more of the recommended items on the menu.
May 31 · Alyssa VuThe food was excellent, really tasty and well-prepared! However, the service was quite disappointing. When we arrived, there was already a queue outside, but we noticed several empty tables inside where the previous customers had already left. Unfortunately, no one was clearing or resetting them. It was obvious the restaurant was understaffed and couldn’t keep up with the number of diners. We even saw some customers leave after seeing the line, not realizing that there were actually available tables, just not cleaned yet. It was a bit frustrating and disappointing, especially since the food was really good. Hopefully, they can improve the staffing or table turnover to match the quality of their food
August 02 · Thomas WongThe roasted beef with dry ramen was delicious. The beef was tender while the ramen was al dente. The staff member checked in on us without making us feel pushed. The place looks clean and chill. Without the broth, my stomach likes it and didn't get diarrhea. Will definitely come back!
