Food: we ordered 3 appetizers, takoyaki which is good, salmon nan ban which is also good and the disappointing okonomiyaki. For the entree, we ordered the Katsu hama special, tender loin with 2 prawns. They are okay, nothing special, I prefer the prawns than the pork katsu. I've been to better katsu place.Service: is okay as well, they misheard our first order by giving takoyaki instead of okonomiyaki so we just ordered additional okonomiyaki, the reason why we have 3 appetizers.Atmosphere: we visited few mins after they opened so it's not yet crowded. The place is so small.Is it worth it? Maybe for those who wants to experience it but for me, this is not it.

My friend flew in and just neeeded to get this place. This is the only thing he really wanted. I was surprised cus I never heard of it. (However he was confused cus it use to be in a diff location)Food - I really don’t find Katsu done well in nyc often but this place was perfect. All of the Katsu we got was large in portion. Juicy and delicious. Reasonable pricing. Great sides and sauces. I enjoyed it all and I wanna go back and try all the other thingsAtmosphere- we put our name down and only waited 10 min. However the line got long really fast so keep that in mind. Wait might be much longer. Service was swift and all staff were amazing.I got the miso on top of mine and honestly it didn’t need it haha

Very nice place. Serving staffs were all very friendly. decor inside was cute, I tried chicken katsu don and my family had chicken katsu curry. food was delicious. I would definitely come back. It's a nice place to grab great food when you're near Rockefeller center area. Also very conveniently located close to 48st/madison entrance to grand central LIRR. so it was perfect to have a nice meal and catch the LIRR.

This is my first time at a restaurant dedicated to Tonkatsu. The 1/2 pound Bershire Pork was probably the juiciest fried pork I have ever had. The panko outside was crunchy and flaky without being too oily. The cabbage salad that they provide you is simple, but its elevated with their house made dressing.The restaurant is a little bit small and started to get really crowded around 6-7pm. If yoy want to avoid a wait I would suggest going around 5pm.

A popular spot for Japanese food beyond the typical sushi or ramen: tonkatsu, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, etc. But there are no reservations ahead of time (must wait in line) and, goodness, this place is LOUD during dinnertime! Because this place is usually busy around peak hours, the waiters don’t get to attend your table well and food comes out rather slowly. I’ve noticed this in both of my visits here.
