The best reason to choose Koo Koo Chicken is to experience **authentic Malaysian rice and noodle dishes** that form the backbone of the cuisine. You must try the **Nasi Lemak**, Malaysia’s national dish—an aromatic experience of coconut-flavored rice served with sambal, anchovies, and often curry chicken. Similarly, the **Curry Laksa Mee** is a foundational experience, boasting a creamy, spicy broth that is a perfect example of rich, Asian **Comfort food**.
Secondly, explore the signature specialties. The **Bak Kut Teh (S or L)**, a savory, herbaceous pork bone tea, is an incredibly warming and satisfying dish, particularly popular in Malaysian Chinese culture. For seafood lovers, the menu features exciting options like **K7 Sting-Ray Fish In Curry** and **K8 Oatmeal Shrimp In Curry Leaf**, offering flavors you simply won’t find at typical Asian-American establishments. Even the familiar **Hainanese Chicken (Half or Whole)**, prepared with traditional precision, is a highly recommended lighter option.
Finally, the appetizers are essential for starting the meal right. The **Homemade Roti Canai**, a flaky flatbread often dipped in curry, is a classic must-order. Pair this with the generous, **tasty Satay Chicken skewers**—even with the salt concern, they remain a top choice when balanced with the accompanying peanut sauce. The combination of **fair prices**, **acceptable portion sizes**, **friendly staff**, and truly **bold flavors** makes Koo Koo Chicken a consistent and highly recommended choice for anyone craving delicious, authentic Malaysian cuisine in the heart of Brooklyn.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Very friendly staff. They made an effort make me comfortable. The service was good and the food was ok, but I was not very impressed with the quality of the rice. I prefer a sticky rice, and their rice was not of the better quality that I am use to.Their satay chicken skewers are tasty- but very heavy handed with the salt, even before I dipped in the peanut sauce. The front cubicle was very cold due to being very close to the main door, which opened directly to the cold weather. I asked to be seated in a warmer place.Their prices are fair, and the portion sizes are acceptable. I recommend giving this restaurant a try.
September 06 · B. SaszarePopular spot for flavorful, crispy fried chicken and tasty Korean-inspired dishes. Known for its fresh ingredients and bold flavors, the menu offers a variety of chicken options, from classic fried to saucy, spicy, and sweet-glazed styles. Sides like fries, coleslaw, and rice complement the meals perfectly. The casual, clean setting and friendly staff make it a great choice for both dine-in and takeout. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the food is consistently delicious. Koo Koo Chicken is a go-to place for anyone craving satisfying comfort food with a Korean twist.
August 10 · md riadBest Malaysian Food in Bensonhurst. Highly recommend the roti canai and clay pot pearl noodles.
August 31 · Eric ZhengFirst time here. Food was good. Can't wait to try more dishes next time around. Very promising.12/26/24: Dined here a few more times. Consistent food, good quality and taste great through Covid. They ended up building partitions for dining in. Very clean restaurant overall. Bathroom is well kept. Floors are not greasy and slippery. They also clean the plates and utensils with hot water right in front of you. Let’s talk about the food. 100% comfort food for us during a streak of cold weather. I left with my belly way too full, cannot stop eating. I hope this place stays open. It’s a small family run Business, manager is very friendly.
December 28 · Ricky LongIt's a quaint little restaurant that's open till 8:45 PM and the food is really good. I always enjoy whatever dish I eat here. The Sarang Burong is different and delicious. You can eat it with or without rice. The mango papaya shrimp salad is good as well.
