What sets Kung Fu Tea apart in the competitive New York beverage market are its foundational practices and menu variety. The following highlights showcase the key features customers appreciate:
- Signature 7-Step Method: Their commitment to a high-quality product is rooted in their signature 7-Step Method for brewing tea. This method ensures meticulous control over water temperature, steeping time, and ingredient proportions, resulting in a consistent, superior flavor profile. Classic teas, such as Kung Fu Black, Green, and Oolong, are all brewed to perfection using this precise, proprietary process.
- Unwavering Freshness Standards: The core ingredient, tea, is freshly brewed every three hours to maintain optimal flavor, and the tapioca "boba" pearls are cooked every two hours. This commitment to short preparation cycles ensures that customers receive the freshest possible product.
- Diverse Drink Categories: The menu extends far beyond standard bubble tea, offering a full spectrum of drink styles. Customers can explore:
- Milk Tea: Featuring classics like KF Milk Tea, Thai Milk Tea, and Taro Milk Tea.
- Slush: Offering frozen, thirst-quenching blends like Oreo Slush, Mango Slush, and Piña Colada.
- Punch: Refreshing fruit-forward options such as Orange Green Tea, Lychee Punch, and Strawberry Lemonade.
- Milk Strike: Lactose-free milk-based drinks with flavors like Chai, Ginger, and Matcha.
- Milk Cap: Teas topped with a subtly salty, creamy layer, a unique textural and flavor element.
- Seasonal and Specialty Options: The menu is constantly evolving, with special offerings such as the Pumpkin Oolong Milk Tea during colder months (October to March) and new innovative flavors like Caribbean Breeze Slush.
- Customization: Customers have the ability to customize their drinks by choosing from various toppings, sugar levels, and ice levels, providing a truly personalized beverage experience.

When deciding what to order at this Bayside gem, the key factors to consider are the unparalleled freshness and the extensive customization options.
Firstly, for the purists and those who appreciate the essence of high-quality tea, the Classic Tea Series is a must-try. The knowledge that the tea is freshly brewed every three hours using the brand's signature 7-Step Method ensures a full-bodied, authentic flavor that is superior to teas steeped for too long. If you are new to the brand, a simple Kung Fu Milk Tea is the perfect introduction, showcasing the quality of their Earl Grey tea paired with a smooth milk powder.
Secondly, for those seeking something more decadent or a quick, sweet treat, the Slush Series is highly popular. The Oreo Slush, often featured as a most-liked item, is a blend of creamy texture and chocolatey crunch that serves as a satisfying dessert-drink. If you prefer a fruity, tropical indulgence, the Mango Slush or Piña Colada Slush are excellent choices.
The Punch Series is ideal for New York's warmer months, offering incredibly refreshing, non-milk-based options. The Orange Green Tea and Strawberry Lemonade are made with freshly squeezed juices, giving them a bright, natural fruit flavor. For something unique, the Rosehip Lemonade is frequently recommended for its refreshing and subtly floral notes.
Finally, the ability to fully customize your drink's sweetness and ice level allows you to tailor the flavor profile to your personal taste, a crucial advantage in the fast-casual beverage space. Whether you opt for a classic with regular boba (tapioca) or choose an adventurous addition like Herbal Jelly or Pudding, your beverage will be handcrafted and designed just for you. Kung Fu Tea in Bayside delivers a blend of tradition and innovation, offering a consistently high-quality and satisfying beverage experience that makes it a standout choice on Bell Blvd.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Really not impressed with the drinks. The tea has no depth of flavor, and the milk just makes it heavier without being creamy. The boba portion is so small that by the time you get halfway through, you’re just drinking sweet, flavorless liquid. Definitely not worth the money.
September 23 · Tika BhandariThe drinks were what was expected. Barista did a good job.The cashier could be friendlier, especially when asking for additional supplies. The napkins holder had no napkins. The atmosphere is roomy for takeout, they closed off 2-3 tables in the back and added claw machines.
June 06 · Edward SantosIf the staff here hate their job so much, maybe they should consider staying home. The drinks are mediocre at best, but the real issue is the shockingly terrible attitude from the employees. It feels like you're bothering them just by walking in. Definitely not coming back.
June 13 · Lijuan GaoI really enjoy milk tea. When I first walked into this establishment, I was hesitant. I didn't like the decorations and was unfamiliar as it was my first time. However, this is why my great grandmother taught me to never judge a book by it's cover. I absolutely SLURPED down that Boba Milk Tea (as recommended by Josh). Man, my life has changed forever. This will be my go to spot for me and my future generation of my lineage.
March 23 · Min ShinI was surprised at how good the punches were for the price they were. Smalls are $5.25 and a Large is $5.75. Anything is an additional add on.This was my first time going so I tried out the Grapefruit Green Tea with Berry Crystal Jelly (shown in the picture) and let me tell you, it’s was great. You can taste the natural ingredients used and it is far from artificial. They have a pretty extensive menu with a lot of options so definitely check out the menu beforehand to narrow down you choices.
