The atmosphere is described as casual and down-to-earth, embodying the spirit of a true, family-owned local gem. Diners should be prepared for a mostly self-served experience—you seat yourself and order directly at the counter. This efficiency, however, contributes to the unbeatable pricing and quick service, with many customers noting that their hot, fresh food arrives less than ten minutes after ordering. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I am by myself and have no idea where to eat in Brooklyn. I visited few restaurant, but lastly, i came to LanZhou Noodle. You need to seat yourself and order at the counter. It is not busy the time when I visited. The portion is way out of my expectations as I had food in Manhattan and other states, It is bigger than i thought. I thought it is not going to be this much, so i ordered 3 items. It is really a good price for all of these together around 29dollar.
April 17 · Joey L.Really delicious spot in Brooklyn to eat authentic Fuzhounese cuisine! It’s down to earth and family owned businesses so it might seem lackluster to outsiders but that’s not the case at all! The prices are unbeatable— tip is not required so it’s mostly self served but the staff is friendly and helpful. The food comes out so fast— less than 10 minutes after we ordered our first dish came out fresh and hot from the stove top.We ordered a variety of dishes but our favorite is the spicy and sour fish soup as well as the meat skewers.
January 19 · ElaineVery down-to-earth, local, traditional Chinese restaurant where the environment is quite noisy from the lady talking to the phone and relaying the orders into the back kitchen. You order at the counter and they bring you the food. one of the best thing about this place is, YOU DONT HAVE TO TIP. Once you’re done with the food, just walk out and they’ll take care of clean-up.The food portion is great, the price is cheap, and the dishes are very flavorful. My favorites are the skewers (beef and lamb). Their Poached Loneley fish dish is also great — nicely spiced, good amount of fish slices and a wide variety of vegetables. Their braised beef rice is quite regular, nothing too special. It’s the same beef they use in the noodle soups. I should have ordered the noodle soup instead.Overall, great place for authentic Chinese food at a great price and large portions.
September 02 · Jia WangCheap food but horrible service!!! Waiters rush you to eat. If you are a solo eater, they will force you to sit with strangers so that there tables freed for others. The cashier also yelled at me because I was trying to understand the difference between the noodle options! How incredibly rude.
August 19 · Michelle YangI’m Chinese from the Sichuan region. Spoiled with many good food growing up, I find many popular Chinese restaurants in NYC a scam. But this is my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood (or even my favorite Chinese in the whole city in terms of price and quality ratio). We come here twice or three times a week. Every dish is fresh, authentic and affordable. Our favorite dishes are: horn pepper beef, string beans, mapo tofu and fatty beef in sour soup. No tips needed. Cashier lady is very friendly that we become friends with her.
