When you visit Le Pain Quotidien, the menu offers a range of fantastic options, each worth considering depending on your taste. For a classic and satisfying start to your day, the "Two Soft-Boiled Eggs" is a simple but perfect choice. For something more substantial, the "Smoked Salmon Omelette" is a popular item, though it's important to note a customer review mentioned a discrepancy in the side dish; it was served with a salad and bread, not the Greek yogurt listed on the menu. Despite this, the dish was described as "quite large, and it was a satisfying breakfast."
The "Avocado Toast" is a must-try. As a popular item, it is a quintessential example of the cafe's focus on fresh, healthy ingredients. For those with a sweet tooth, the bakery items are not to be missed. The "French Cream Doughnut" is a highlight, as is the "Pain au Chocolat" and "Croissant." These pastries showcase the bakery's authentic roots and are perfect with their excellent coffee.
For lunch, the "Tartines," or open-faced sandwiches, are a signature offering. The "Chicken Mozzarella Melt" and "Smoked Salmon" tartines are both popular and flavorful choices. If you are in the mood for a more traditional meal, the "Quiche Lorraine" is a comforting and hearty option. The "Quinoa & Avocado Salad" is a great, healthy choice for a light lunch. While a review mentioned the service can be slow at times, a separate customer review praised the "super friendly" staff and "absolutely delicious" food, highlighting that it’s a great place to "sit back, relax, and have a good chat with friends." These positive experiences, along with the high quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere, make Le Pain Quotidien a place worth visiting.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Came here for breakfast and got the smoked salmon omelette ($18.75). On the menu, it said it comes with Greek yogurt, but it didn’t. It came with a salad and bread. The dish was quite large, and it was a satisfying breakfast. The service was so slow though. A table that was seated before us got their food served before the waiter even took our order.
April 26 · JenGreat spot! The staff was super friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect place to sit back, relax, and have a good chat with friends. Highly recommend!
May 14 · Debora Chaitlall (Debs)Mini pancakes arrived barely lukewarm. By time I was 2 bites in they were cold. Too bad, because had they been warm I think they would have been pretty good. The waitress forget my coffee and utensils, but brought them quickly when asked. My coffee cup had a huge Crack. I drank around it. I'm currently 15 minutes into waiting for a check. I won't be returning to dine in. I may try their pastry for take away, but with all the great food in NYC, why bother?
September 12 · Ann ParkerWe came at a time tjay wouldn’t usually be super busy, and it was overwhelmingly busy. The staff didnt give us any attention at all, and was overly rude when we asked for help. The food was just eh, very overpriced for what we got. However, they did give my mom a small tea pot for her tea which was nice.
March 10 · Saoirse TeaghanIf you are looking for a gluten free sweet you can find it here, plus they have gluten free homemade breads... I tried the donut cream and the coconut sweet and it was delicious. The cream of the donut was fluffy and not too sweet, it contrasted with the dough of the donut which was more crunchy and sweet. I will return here to buy the gluten free artisan breads, it was on my list for my next visit. The prices didn't seem like something extreme and crazy to me. And the cashier's attention was excellent since he took his time explaining to me the different desserts and gluten free options.
