What is Worth Choosing: Menu Highlights and Value
Choosing Lucy's Vietnamese - Williamsburg is a decision to prioritize flavorful, versatile, and conveniently accessible Vietnamese cuisine. What makes it particularly worth choosing for the NYC resident?
Firstly, the menu is built around three core, immensely popular Vietnamese meals: Pho, Banh Mi, and Vermicelli Bowls. This specialization means the quality is high, particularly in the components they control, such as the flavorful broth and high-quality proteins. For example, their Lemongrass Chicken Pho ($14.95) and Smoked Brisket Banh Mi ($15.95) are excellent choices for meat-eaters, providing deep, savory flavors.
Secondly, their commitment to dietary inclusivity is a major advantage in the New York dining landscape. The fact that the base broth for all Pho dishes is often vegetarian—simmered with shiitake mushrooms, star anise, cinnamon, and ginger—ensures a delicious and accessible option for a wide range of customers. The Vegan Ginger Chick'n Pho ($14.95) and Vegan Ginger Chick'n Vermicelli Bowl ($14.95) are particularly popular among those seeking plant-based alternatives that don't compromise on the traditional, complex flavors of Vietnamese food.
Thirdly, the restaurant offers an unparalleled balance of convenience and quality. The combination of fast service, readily available takeout and delivery (including no-contact options), and a casual environment for solo dining makes it an ideal spot for today's busy New Yorker. You can count on Lucy's to deliver a fresh, tasty, and filling meal quickly, whether you’re sitting at a table with an appetizer of Toasted Garlic Aioli Bread ($3.95) or enjoying a Vietnamese Coffee ($5.00) to go.
While some patrons might note that the portions of traditional herb and vegetable accompaniments for Pho can be lighter than other establishments, the ability to order sides like a flavorful Broth ($4.00) and the consistently praised quality of their main ingredients—like the rich smoked brisket and marinated tofu—solidifies Lucy's Vietnamese as a consistently reliable and highly recommended option for great Vietnamese food in Brooklyn. It's a culinary gem that brings the "hit the spot" satisfaction for both traditional and modern Vietnamese food cravings.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Second time eating here, this time we ordered take out. I really do enjoy Vietnamese and having a vegan spot nearby is great. The tofu banh mi and tofu pho is delish as the tofu is marinated which makes it so much better! Took away half star (if only there were halves) because each time there has been little herbs and veggies for the pho and the banh mi. Normally you get a handful of herbs, another bunch of jalapeños, a ton of bean sprouts and a couple limes. Unfortunately they give very little which really changes the fullness and flavor. However they do offer hoisin and sriracha whether dine in or take out. The take out bag was really nice, a little too much for take out.Overall, definitely recommend and hope they offer more of the sides that make everything taste good.
March 15 · B ENot the best I’ve ever had but it hit the spot. The brisket meet was kind of tough and the pho didn’t feature any meat balls or cakes I’m used to having in my pho. The noodle texture was correct and the broth was flavorful. I also tried a spring roll which I found to be quite good. I might stop in to have spring rolls again for a snack in the future.
April 27 · Susan LiuAbsolutely wonderful Banh Mi. I went to the original Bushwick location back when it first opened, but this sandwich somehow topped it. The Lemongrass Chicken was perfectly seasoned, crisp, and packed with flavor — and huge. My friend got the tofu and liked it just as much as I liked mine. The Bruce Cost ginger ale was a perfect pairing — sharp, refreshing, and not too sweet. I’ll definitely be back to try the pho at this location.
June 03 · Judson RogersWe had the smoked beef pho, it was great, the beef is literally huge, and the portion is huge, too! Too bad I just got here, I ordered from the counter, so I thought I don’t have to tip, otherwise I’d tip the waitress, def recommended!
July 08 · Jacob HensenWow! I’ve had Lucy’s before but this occasion was truly a stand out. I ordered a big order for pickup. They packed it so well, helped me out to my car with it, and gave us key chains and some discount cards. Our whole office was blown away, I don’t think I’ve ever seen them happier with an office lunch before. Simply awesome, we’re all so giddy and it’s all thanks to Lucy’s! Our vegetarian colleagues also say the tofu is some of the best they’ve had, like there was real time put into it, unlike some other places that just throw the tofu in there. THANK YOU!
