★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This spot was surprisingly good. I'm usually not a hummus person, but their hummus was quite good. If you go, it's definitely worth ordering. The lamb shank was tender and flavorful, and the branzino had perfectly crispy skin and well-cooked meat. The servers were also pretty chill and nice.
June 21 · Tahir KhanIncredible meal at Mazzat in Brooklyn — and coming from someone who’s Middle Eastern, trust me when I say this place nails it. The flavors are authentic, the dishes feel like home, and the execution is top notch.Falafel? Best I’ve ever had. Light, crispy, and packed with flavor — like little golden clouds. The lentil soup was comforting and rich, lamb shank fell off the bone, and even the labneh and zatar hit just right. The mezze platter was a standout — fresh tabbouleh, smooth and smoky baba ghanoush, and more. The chef is incredible, and the staff made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. Can’t speak highly enough about it. If you want real-deal Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food, this is it. I’ll definitely be back.
September 27 · Coco ObaydaGreat neighborhood spot with good food and good service. Hummus, lamb shank, and shawarma were all very tasty. Have to end the meal with the baklava!
September 05 · Isabella SpiridigliozziAs a Moroccan with very good taste buds given Moroccan food is very rich in ingredients, eating in this place felt like trying “real food” for the first time in over a year. It was like I was eating “fake” food this whole time. Eating just to feel full. Not in this place though. Even the simplest meal felt like I was having a vacation from life. Natural ingredients, good mixture of different tastes, fulfilling and dreamy. Made by a chef with more than 2 decades of experience (in this restaurant alone). And that’s just the food, let alone the service. And the great atmosphere, making you feel like you’re eating at a classy restaurant in Europe. And to top it off, and great double espresso at the end. I know talking this passionately makes it seem fake, but I’d be lying if I expressed my joy from this experience any differently. 100% recommend and I will only bring my closest people to this place.
July 10 · Adam FaresCarlos was an amazing waiter, he explained the menu quite vividly. We had Lamb, hummus & kunafa for dessert. The Lamb was amazing & freshFries were a hit ! Dessert was a pleasant surprise. We will surely be back 👍🏾
