★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1After walking the High Line, we needed a refreshment, and we found that at McKenna’s Pub. Ice cold beer (affordable) and friendly staff. Close to the Subway.
August 07 · Leon BoschIf you're looking for a comfortable, friendly pub with good food at great prices, this is it. Staff remembers your face and name (given time, of course!) and happy hour has these wonderful little chips. My comfort place of choice.
July 01 · Michael “Yoshi” JamesIt's seems like McKennas is just hiring anyone nowadays. Had a nice dinner in Meatpacking with some friends and we decided to pop in for the late happy hour and the female bartender that was working there last night was one of the rudest, most unprofessional bartenders I've ever seen. She was clearly overwhelmed with everything she was doing and the bar wasn't even that full. I can only imagine how sloppy she gets when the bar is 2-3 people deep. The guy next to me wasn't sure what he could get with his poker chip so he asked me to ask her and her response was "I thought we went over this, anything under $11..." in the rudest, most condescending and unprofessional tone ever.So I replied, " Well we don't work here how is he supposed to know what the price is for everything?" She then curled up her face in anger, grabbed one of the cocktail menus and slammed it in front of our faces. So unprofessional. Me and the guy just turned to each other stunned like "Wow. How does she even work here?".At first we felt bad for her thinking that maybe she was just stressed and overwhelmed but then after that we quickly realized that she was just unprofessional and not fit for the job because she was doing that to EVERYONE. One of the rudest, most unprofessional bartenders I've encountered yet.I really wish McKenna's luck but this experience was really a sour ending to what we thought was going to be a good time. If you want rude and sloppy service this is the place guys 👍🏾
June 13 · Fathay KiawuI didn't eat here but the food looked really good. I snuck in here for a couple goblets of wine. The small goblets of wine were $15 a piece which I find steep but the owner just so happened to be sitting 2 barstools down from me then he moved next to me and struck up conversation with me and bought me my 2nd drink which was very sweet of him to do. He's from Ireland..very personable. This pub is usually full but I got lucky and found a tool open.
