★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A charming and classy environment. The food quality and service is exceptional. The lamb chop is well prepared and their Duck was tasty. I would make a two recommendations:1-it was hard eating the Duck and Lamb Chop out of the tin bowls. I recommend they bring it out in a plat bowl, and2-a sauce of some sort as an option for the Bok Choy.Overall a truly sophisticated experience.
November 30 · Carmine BattistaFood was great, service as always. Been coming here for the last 20 Years, the problem is that now they only want you to get the food bundle, even if you want to try many things they keep insisting in the bundle. Really disappointing start of the evening, i said No and he kept insisting that it was the best for the table, we all felt very uncomfortable as they continued to push for the Bundle. I said i would never come back and then they served us our choices from the menu. Great Food, great service but my night started sour having to fight with the guy for over 15 minutes. Peking Duck was awesome, squid pasta in black ink so incredible but i will Never be back again, started reading other reviews and its the same unfortunate strategy of a once great place to have a group and memorable moment.... Unfortunately never coming back again in a party 6 or larger. I hope Mr. chow management start reading the reviews.... Expensive is ok if you leave feeling great ... Not what happened ! Bye Mr. chow this could of been a 5 star, wanted to give it a 2...
November 04 · Erie PerezFor a fine dining the place wasn’t as I expected. Very tight space for both customers seated and the waiters. I tried the chicken satay (overrated but quite good), and other dishes but nothing stood out. For desserts, I quite liked the fresh lychees.
December 29 · Maryam ObaidAs funny as Hendrix playing banjo, you have to approach this place with a sense of humour. This isn't a culinary experience. The food varies from good green prawns, to edible twice cooked duck (kinda, sorta Peking ish), to bland veggies and turgid noodles, Chinese bolognaise ish. But the service is attentive and funny. The vibe is studio 54, 1980, and the prices pure cocaine. The pinot at 85 was the best value of the meal, despite the contrast of very cheap glasses..again, you gotta laugh. If you have $120-250 per person to blow on a funny experience, come along for the show.
May 05 · Kitchen InsiderBeforehand I would like to express gratitude turs the lovely employees. The customer service from the minute one walks in is wonderful your greeted with high respect and the servers really do go out of their way to help you have a wonderful experience and enjoy a great meal. They are very educated on their menu so not to worry if your a first timer like myself or one that goes all the time they got you cover on meal selections and recommendations . Doors open at 6 pm worth the wait. Please stop by Mr Chow and enjoy. One the best Chinese restaurants in the great Manhattan New York area.
