★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We were starving as t the time and the food was very decently delicious. The jjampong has a good roasted flavor, tang su yuk was fresh, not too fatty. The stone jjajang myum was real good.
August 23 · Andrew ChoiI had the Lunch Set 1 at New York Ban Jum today, which included Jjajangmyeon, Tangsuyuk, Fried Dumplings, and Salad, and it was absolutely delicious. Since I usually have to choose just one dish when dining alone, I really loved that this set included all my favorites—Tangsuyuk, Jjajangmyeon, and Fried Dumplings. The portion size was quite generous as well. The clean table setting and cozy atmosphere added to the experience. I finished my meal with a fresh cup of tea, and when I asked what it was, waitress told me it was Jasmine tea. On top of that, she was incredibly kind and attentive, making the whole experience a solid 5/5 star restaurant for me.I’m already looking forward to visiting again in the evening with my family to try more dishes!
March 04 · Jihye JungGreat lunch special options. We had jjampong which is a spicy hand pulled noodles with seafood. Their broth has deep oyster/seafood taste and it was one of the best I had.Combination of various dishes and jajangmyon (brown noodle) are great.I took out shrimp with brown noodles and dumplings for my son and he loved it.I got the sweet and sour beef (Tangsuyuk) for my in-laws and they really enjoyed it.Quick and efficient service. Definitely coming back to try other dishes.
February 08 · Amy KangNew York Ban Jum is a hidden gem for anyone craving delicious Korean-Chinese food!I went with a group of eight, and despite the size of our party, they accommodated us quickly and efficiently. The staff was friendly, and the service was impressively smooth. We were seated and served without any delay. The food was far beyond our expectations. We ordered the Jjajangmyeon set menu with spicy garlic chicken and sweet & sour pork, as well as beef bibimbap. Every dish was bursting with bold, authentic flavors, and the portions were generous. The seafood jjampong was another standout—packed with fresh, flavorful seafood in a rich, spicy broth. It was the perfect balance of spice and freshness.Overall, everything tasted better than we expected, and we’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommend this spot for Korean-Chinese cuisine!
September 19 · Brigitta JesslynDon't be fooled by reviews.Today is my 3rd visit in an unavoidable situation, but their service manner wasn't changed.I think it seems like the owner guy doesn't know how to treat guests. So pathetic. The food tastes not much special, just ordinary.Only UniJjajangmyeon was ok.Anyway, last visit time when we asked to go to the room, they said we couldn't because they were all booked, but we could see the empty rooms until we finished eating and left. I don't know why, but I felt deceived. That's very unpleasant. The serving staff had a very rigid attitude. I can only give the service score zero.Definitely, I wouldn't go back there again and can't recommend this place.
