For a long time, sushi was considered exotic and maybe a little scary. But now one can find it practically everywhere, even in the grocery store. Sushi is a Japanese dish referring to the sour flavor of the vinegared rice.Translated from Japanese, meaning “looks beautifully flavored,” my partner and I decided to stop for a quick bite at this establishment situated on a busy Boulevard in Hasbrouck Heights.Upon entering this clean and relaxed vibe as first-timers to Oishi Sushi, we had the entire place to ourselves and decided on a table by the window. They also have a small stool area in front of the sushi chefs.Their extensive menu comprises a range of sushi rolls, sashimi, and bento boxes.We opted for the Seaweed Salad, Avocado Roll, and Vegetable Lover Roll.Food was excellent, presented well, and using the freshest quality ingredients. The Seaweed Salad was a tad salty; otherwise, everything tasted deliciously good. The price and portions were reasonable. The service was quick; the staff was friendly and courteous.We can recommend this place.

Food was excellent and presented well, delivery was timely, and service was friendly. We ordered the 3 roll combo (shrimp mango, spicy tuna, and spicy crab), Philadelphia roll, and shrimp tempura for our main dishes. For appetizers, we had miso soup, spicy edamame, and vegetable dumplings. Everything tasted delicious and I was surprised they offered a spicy version of the edamame. Saw this business was new and was close by so we figured we’d give them a shot and they exceeded our expectations. Would definitely recommend and will be ordering again soon!!

I don’t know why is so difficult to keep the Customers happy when visiting your place, is not the first time. If someone brings you business you should honor that, your service is horrible, your education is really poor, is not just about making money, if you pay attention to more details your business could be even better.As a business owner I can say your Service sucks and you should improve it if you don’t want to keep losing Customers.

I enjoyed my food, the eel was really good/fresh! I wasn't feeling the spicy edamame. I ended up wiping off the condiment it was covered in and eating the edamame mostly plain. I'm not big on mayo, I ordered thinking they would be served with oil and chili peppers. They however came out covered in mayo (couldn't tell if it was spicy or not) and some red stuff sprinkled on top. Everything else was great and my server was very pleasant/friendly.

Ordered food for take out. Sushi was fresh, full of fish, and delicious. They included a complimentary blue crab fajita (pictured). Yes a surprising fusion appetizer but it was delish.
