One and One Introduce
Located at the nexus of New York City's vibrant East Village, One and One has been a staple of the neighborhood since 1989. This isn't your average bar; it's a dual-concept venue that caters to multiple moods and occasions. On the street level, you'll find a lively and comfortable sports bar, complete with multiple TVs for catching all the big games. Head downstairs, and the atmosphere completely transforms into a high-energy nightclub with live DJs spinning a mix of genres that get the crowd moving. This ability to offer two distinct experiences under one roof is a major reason why One and One has remained a popular destination for decades.
While its history may tie it to a classic Irish pub feel, One and One has evolved to become a trendy, modern spot that draws a diverse crowd. The bar is known for its "great cocktails" and "great beer selection," complemented by a menu of classic American pub fare. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We stopped by One and One as part of a nostalgic trip down memory lane as we used to come here often 15 years ago for a pint and a solid Irish breakfast. Unfortunately, our experience this time was beyond disappointing. The place was nearly empty, but the service was still non-existent and the bartenders seemed more interested in gossiping and giggling with each other than actually serving the few customers there. We were overcharged for our appetizer + beers we did order ($3 extra per beer as a weekend fee even though it was Friday??? Extra $1 for the app? Blatant price gouging!).Sadly, this spot is no longer what it once was. We won’t be returning. One and One is done.Don't bother with this bar- there are much better places in alphabet city that actually clean their beer lines and serve legit Stella.
July 05 · Tricia ChatterThis place was great! Went in yesterday just to get a drink and they had a great dj! Played afrobeats, reggae, rap, r&b, Spanish, everything. Love a place with good music. Also ordered the coconut shrimp just for a light snack and it ended up being AMAZING. Hidden gem for sure, will definitely be going back!
April 19 · NishBeen to the bar three times with my friend so far. We usually come when it’s happy hour when we are both off from work. The atmosphere is chill. You can sit indoor or outdoor. The time we came was quiet and then business picked up later on. Everyday the bar got certain deals on food. Today sliders were $2 for one. Not bad. It wasn’t as tasty as I like but for $2, can’t complain. We also got the coconut shrimp and fries. I got the five piece Thai spicy wings flavor. I was surprised to see the shrimps being delicious. I would def come again. The food and drinks are adorable. It’s a good vibe for sure.
October 11 · Linda LThe worst place for eat in all new york , we lunch , the place was empty and we have delay more than 1 hour for take our food , and missed some stuff that show the menu , i dont recoment nobody come here for eat
July 05 · Niller PentonThis bar has been around for as long as I can remember. I went in on a Saturday evening and the crowd a few weeks ago is either a MUCH older crowd (and I’m saying that as a woman in her mid 40s) or just barely old enough to drink!! I sat at the bar and was served immediately. If I was in the area and needed a drink and had a few minutes to kill I will probably go back in, but I would not necessarily make my way there to hang out.
