Papaya King's services are built around a simple and effective model. The primary offering is a quick bite, with a menu centered on their classic hot dogs. Patrons can choose from a variety of hot dogs, including the Classic, Foot Long, and specialty options like the "Sweet Heat" or "Upper East" dogs. These drinks are often cited as the perfect complement to the savory hot dogs, creating a unique salty-sweet sensation. Service options include curbside pickup, which adds a layer of convenience for those on the go. While a few patrons have noted that some of the flavors, particularly in the drinks, may be "lacking," the overall consensus is that the hot dogs and the classic pairings are still "yummy." ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I haven’t been in years but I’m glad they are back. The new location is definitely cleaner, more efficient but also lost a bit of its charm from the old days. Thankfully the service is still great and the dogs are still yummy. The banana daiquiri is still my go to drink when visiting. I highly recommend!
August 19 · john MedelMeh - skip it and head south for more eats and sweets. The mustard was the best part of our hot dogs. Even the sauerkraut lacking in flavor and the papaya drink was colored and sweetened water completely lacking papaya flavor. We couldn’t drink it. Servers surely. We did enjoy standing and eating at one of the four tables.
July 14 · Linda BaileyAnyplace in NYC that hides the total cost in the register is a scam!$10 for one small hot dog and a 16oz drink. You can't see the total, They don't tell you the total they just ask you to tap. I had to also ask for my receipt...Apparently even if you take 2 dogs and drink deal for $10 it doesn't include saurkraut ...so it's like $12...yes it's $5 for one hotdog!!....they know their prices are high because they are ashamed to show you the total. You can only scam someone once.too many other better places like shake shack for same price.
July 01 · roodie dA little gem with lots of flavour! The papaya drink I had was so refreshing, and complimented the hot dogs so well. The prices were fair and I really enjoyed my classic hotdog and chili combo i tasted from my friend. There were no seats at the restaurant, but you could stand and eat at one of a handful of tall tables.
August 21 · Daniel BarberThe dogs were good. The kraut was good. The buns were dry. Papaya drink is a must
