What is Worth Choosing
When deciding what to try at Patis Bakery, consider what has made them a local favorite. The bakery excels at blending high-end French techniques with comforting, popular Israeli-style cafe food, all within a kosher framework. For a sweet start to your day or an indulgent treat, you absolutely must try a signature pastry. The Pecan Pie Sticky Bun is consistently one of the most ordered items, a flaky, buttery delight that combines the texture of a croissant with the rich flavors of pecan pie. The Old Fashion Cheese Danish and the classic Croissant are also highly recommended for a truly authentic bakery experience. Customers rave about the quality, noting that the croissants are like "flaky, buttery clouds."
If you're looking for a hearty and satisfying lunch, the menu features several standouts that have garnered a loyal following. The Napolitano Press is a popular choice, a satisfying combination of marinara sauce, homemade pesto, mushroom, and fresh cheeses pressed on a sourdough base. Similarly, the Tuna Melt, served on their hearty Multigrain Sourdough, is a consistent best-seller. These savory dishes are often served with a side salad, providing a complete and delicious meal.
For those with dietary needs, Patis is an excellent choice due to its clear distinction between Pareve and Dairy items. Their artisan breads, like the Kalamata Olive Sourdough and Cranberry Pecan Sourdough, are Pareve, making them a fantastic option for a non-dairy component.
However, as with any food establishment, Patis has received critical feedback. A serious concern from a customer regarding a severe avocado allergy highlights the necessity for meticulous care and communication when placing special orders, especially those involving food allergies. It is always prudent for customers with severe allergies to double-check their order, regardless of the restaurant.
Overall, Patis Bakery is a must-visit for New Jersey residents seeking a diverse, high-quality, and reliably kosher dining experience. Whether you’re stopping by for an Iced Latte and a Chocolate Croissant, or sitting down to enjoy a Wild Mushroom Panini, Patis delivers a memorable taste of both European and local culinary artistry. The combination of great coffee, sophisticated pastries, and a warm, inviting atmosphere firmly establishes Patis Bakery as a premier local destination on Cedar Lane in Teaneck.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Had such a lovely experience here, loved the variety of pastries (especially the chocolate croissant and mocha cinnamon cookie). Although the coffee machine was down staff still accommodated to make me a fresh cup of coffee since it was my birthday. Along with my chocolate croissant I enjoyed a fresh tuna salad. Can’t wait to comeback with my family.
August 26 · Chelsey RoseI placed a large order with Paris Bakery in Teaneck and clearly noted my severe avocado allergy. Despite this, they added avocado to a dish that doesn’t even list avocado as an ingredient or option. This wasn’t a small mistake—it was a serious health risk. When I called to explain what happened, I was shocked by the lack of concern. All they offered was a pastry if I went out of my way to pick it up. No real apology, no accountability, and no effort to make it right. This is completely unacceptable. Food allergies are not a joke, and any food business should take them seriously. I expected much better from a place that claims to value its customers.
May 28 · Daleska DillerThe name says 'bakery,' but Patis Bakery is more like a cafe, pizzeria (lite), and a bakery rolled into one. The long window of treats and eats attests to this, with the pastries and baked goods greeting the eyes first. Further down the line, there are prepared pizzas, and even further, there are sandwiches and signs posting the specials of the day. My husband and I initially walked in with the intention of grabbing a croissant, but we couldn't help ourselves and nabbed a spicy salmon sandwich to share.Ordering was a cinch, and since we were dining in, we were directed to grab a seat. Seating space is aplenty, with an entire half of the interior dedicated to tables. On a weekend morning, there were lots of patrons visiting, and even then, there were lots of seats for us to choose.I'm typically a purist at heart, but there was no stopping me once I saw there was a s'more croissant available. If and when you order one for yourself, they'll ask you if you want it warmed, and the answer is absolutely yes. The marshmallow got melty and gooey, and I gasped when I saw the chocolate inside. It's like a naughty pain au chocolat, and while it was a little on the sweet side for my own preferences, I could see this going over well for those chasing cavities. The spicy salmon was also surprisingly decent, with crunchy bread and salmon that was dressed with a good kick.I noticed there were some other tables with lingering parties, who had clearly long finished their food but weren't being pressured or chased away. I'd recommend Patis Bakery for those who might want to work or sit with friends for a longer time in a cozy space.
February 02 · Jane CThe pistachio croissant was absolutely delicious — 10/10. The strawberry croissant was also very good, about 8/10. That said, the environment and service could use improvement. The display stands were almost empty, and I had to ask multiple questions just to find out what was available. The whole ordering process felt a bit exhausting. Overall, I’d rate this place a 7/10
August 13 · Mariami JimshitashviliMain downside is it's a bit pricey. One breakfast, one coffee, and one pastry came to $33. If you're ready to splurge a little though, the quality is perfection. They have tables so you can dine in, and in the summer they have a sidewalk cafe option. They have a nice coffee machine, but I hate drinking out of paper cups so I don't go for that. Lots of vegetarian options, which is great.
