PHUHroo Asian Fusion | Korean | Vietnamese | Introduce
For the discerning New Jersey diner constantly seeking a truly innovative culinary experience, **PHUHroo Asian Fusion** in Fair Lawn is a standout destination. Situated in the heart of Bergen County, PHUHroo has carved out a unique niche by expertly merging the rich, savory depth of Korean cuisine with the fresh, aromatic comfort of Vietnamese flavors. This is more than a standard Asian restaurant; it's a dedicated **Fusion restaurant** that offers a distinct menu drawing on Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, and other Asian influences.
PHUHroo's approach to dining is modern, casual, and incredibly accommodating, making it an instant favorite among locals. The atmosphere is celebrated for its casual, welcoming, and inclusive nature—identifying as **Family-friendly, LGBTQ+ friendly, and a Transgender safespace**. Furthermore, its hours of operation are a true gift to the area: the kitchen famously serves up delicious, comforting meals into the early morning hours, securing its reputation as the go-to spot for **Late-night food** in Fair Lawn and surrounding towns. Whether you are craving a hearty bowl of soup, a loaded sandwich, or unique small plates, PHUHroo promises a "delicious godsend" that caters to every craving, at virtually any hour.
PHUHroo Asian Fusion is conveniently located at **30-08 Broadway, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410, USA**, placing it right in the middle of a vibrant commercial corridor. Its location in the Broadway Improvement District makes it easily reachable for Bergen County residents looking for a quick bite or a satisfying dine-in experience.
While the location is excellent, local users should note the parking situation, which requires a bit of planning. There is **On-site parking** and a **Free parking lot** located behind the complex. However, signs may be limited, so patrons often utilize the **Free street parking** available in the nearby residential areas as an alternative. Rest assured, once inside, the restaurant's commitment to accessibility is clear, offering a **Wheelchair accessible parking lot** and **Wheelchair accessible seating**.
PHUHroo caters to nearly every dining need, from dine-in meals to large catering orders, and provides multiple convenient methods for placing and receiving orders.
**Flexible Ordering:** Customers can order with ease using the electronic kiosks inside or pay cash at the counter. For maximum convenience, ordering ahead is available via the Toast Tab app, phone, or online.
**Dining Options:** PHUHroo covers the full spectrum of meals, offering **Brunch**, **Lunch**, **Dinner**, and **Dessert**. The venue offers comfortable **Seating** and **Table service** for those looking to dine in, as well as efficient **Counter service**.
**Pickup and Delivery:** Recognizing the demand for convenience, the restaurant provides **Takeout**, **Delivery**, **Curbside pickup**, and **No-contact delivery** options, utilizing platforms like Grubhub and DoorDash to reach the local area.

**Inclusivity:** The menu is highly flexible and includes dedicated **Vegan options** and **Vegetarian options** to accommodate diverse dietary preferences.
PHUHroo's menu is a playground of fusion, taking familiar dishes from the Korean and Vietnamese canons and reinterpreting them with inventive, flavorful twists.
**The PHUH & Soup Experience:** The soup section is a prime example of the fusion concept. The signature **PHUH ($15.75)** (a nod to traditional Vietnamese Pho) is served with an enormous serving of noodles, fresh jalapeño, and a generous number of **Handmade Dumplings** in the soup, blending the essence of a beef-broth noodle soup with a heartier Korean Dumpling Soup. Other options include traditional **Ramyun Soup** and pure **Dumpling Soup** ($17.00).
**Bulgogi Banh-Mi Mastery:** A consistent crowd-pleaser and frequently praised customer favorite is the unique fusion **Banh-Mi** sandwich. Instead of strictly traditional Vietnamese cold cuts, the toasted bread is stuffed with Korean classics like **Bulgogi** ($19.75), **Spicy Pork** ($18.00), and Brisket, often topped with a fried egg, avocado, and pickled greens for a truly "filling ecstasy." They also offer unique fillings like **Fried Cod** ($18.00) and **Impossible** (plant-based) Banh-Mi ($18.95).
**Unmissable Starters & Small Plates:** PHUHroo elevates appetizers to an art form. The **Kimchi Bulgogi Fries** ($17.50) are a must-try starter, featuring loaded fries topped with pan-stirred kimchi, bulgogi, cilantro, and spicy mayo, described by customers as a "punchy twist" on loaded fries. Other favorites include the customizable **Handmade Dumplings** (8 Pc), **Popcorn Chicken**, and even **Popcorn Broccoli** ($10.63).
**Reliable Mam-Ma & Gogi:** The backbone of the Korean offerings lies in the main dish (Mam-Ma) and the meat-only (Gogi) selections. **Bulgogi** ($21.75 Mam-Ma) is highly reliable and comes with sesame seed-topped rice and that delicious fried golden egg. Other protein options include **Pork Shoulder** and **Marinated Chicken**, available in original or spicy Gochujang marinades.
**Cold Noodle Classics:** Perfect for those hot New Jersey summers, the menu features several **Pad-Ramyun** dishes, including the highly recommended **ABURA-BIBIM** ($13.50), a cold noodle dish stirred with a special oil sauce, described as "perfect for the summer heat!"
Choosing PHUHroo Asian Fusion is about selecting a restaurant that dares to be different, offering a reliable, high-quality, and deeply satisfying meal, no matter the time of day or night. What is truly worth choosing is the restaurant’s mastery of its core concept: delivering Korean-Vietnamese fusion classics.
The exceptional quality of the **Bulgogi dishes**, whether on a hero or in a rice bowl (Mam-Ma), is a consistent source of customer praise, and the innovative appetizers like the **Kimchi Bulgogi Fries** set PHUHroo apart from more conventional Asian eateries in North Jersey. Coupled with one of the area's latest closing times and a friendly, inclusive atmosphere, PHUHroo is the essential destination for Bergen County food lovers. From a quick lunch special (offered Mon-Fri, typically until 3 PM) to a full, complex dinner, this Fair Lawn gem is an eggsellent, delicious, and convenient local standout.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My husband and I gave this spot a random try because we were hungry and in the mood for Asian food. The bulgogi fries are a star starter. There isn't a ton of meat on top, but what's there adds such a punchy twist to the idea of loaded fries. If I were to try it again, I'd love to ask for the sauce on the side since the liquid deluge - while tasty - softened the crunchy fries after a few minutes. My husband's pork shoulder was another hit. Marinated in a spicy-sweet gochujang mixture, it was tender and flavorful. He ordered it atop lettuce, but they have the option to have it over rice or in a banh-mi. I imagine any of those options would be fantastic. If anything fell a little short for me, it was the phuh broth. It was hot and rich with flavor, but leaned a little too heavily into a licorice aftertaste that was uncommon and unpleasantly strong. That said, I loved that it came with jalapeño peppers, and unlike other pho noodle soups, an enormous serving of noodles. The soup also had a generous number of dumplings IN the soup, which made it more like a Korean dumpling soup than a pho (which is a plus in my book).Parking is a little hard to figure out. There's a lot behind the complex, but few signs to distinguish whether those spots are available for Phuh Roo customers. We chanced it and felt relieved our car wasn't towed during our meal, but there's some street parking in a nearby residential area if you're risk averse and open to a bit of a walk.
June 17 · Jane CDon't sleep on the Pad-ramyun: abura-bibim, a cold noodle dish perfect for the summer heat! 🔥❄️🥢I've had nothing but eggsellent vibes here, I love the late night hours, too convenient for my job in the area. Y'all are a delicious godsend, and thank you very much for all the pickled carrots! 🥕🥚Bulgogi dishes here are all flawless, gogi or mam-ma dishes are so reliable whether you just want meat & veggies or with sesame seed topped rice and that delicious fried golden egg 🍳 🍚🥦Honestly, everything is great here but my favorite thing has to be the bulgogi Banh Mi sandwiches w/ fried egg, avo, & other greens inside, the one thing here not pictured— just can't help but eat it immediately! Such a filling ecstasy, would be lying if I said this sandwich didn't show up in my hungrier dreams. There are lunch special prices Mon-Fri, up till 3PM, iirc?? I really like that you can order at the electronic kiosks in-door but still pay cash, and it's just as convenient to order ahead via the toast tab app 💵📱
August 02 · I. D.I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered a vegetarian dish, only to find chunks of meat in it. When I called to report the issue, they insisted it was mushrooms, which it clearly was not. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, they refused to offer a refund and showed zero concern for the seriousness of the situation.I even brought the meat back to the restaurant, where an employee admitted it was meat. However, instead of taking responsibility, they claimed the owner needed time to "investigate" with the company that supplies their instant broth packets—which is alarming in itself. Despite their clear mistake, I am still waiting on a refund. To make matters worse, when I mentioned leaving a bad review, they didn’t care at all and told me to "do what I think is correct." That level of customer service is unacceptable. My dietary restrictions were completely ignored, and I have never encountered such poor customer service in the food industry before. If you have any dietary preferences or restrictions, BEWARE—this place does not take them seriously. Stay away!
March 10 · Julie JulesMy second time trying this place and it did not disappoint!I was cold so wanted a hot noodle soup they sold out of their beef broth so he asked me if I wanted to try a vegetable broth, I was hesitant but he made it sound good so I tried it and it was really good! Got it spicy w a side of brisket and it had a lot of flavor and warmed me up!Also tried their brisket fried rice, kimchi bacon fried rice, chicken wings w sweet& spicy sauce and also their Cajun wings, fried dumplings and everything was delicious and high quality! They are very generous with portions as well so you will feel satisfied.Overall great flavors and the best part they OPEN LATE!!!! I think it says 3:30am on their store front! When everything is closed and you don’t want junky fast food this is the place to go!!
January 12 · mkcAbsolutely delicious food! Had the Bulgogi, spicy soup, dumplings…Everything was awesome. Service was fast and the owners seem like great people. You should try it for sure!
