★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If you're in the neighborhood, you have to try a plate!! Everything was so tasty, and there was even some left over for the next day. They have many different styles of chicken, some goat, and soups. Platters come with two choices of rice and some veggies like cabbage. The girl behind the counter was really helpful answering any questions I had, telling me about different sizes and flavors. So far I've tried the goat, chicken, cow foot soup, and fried chicken. All get 5/5, spicy and delicious!!Sorry I don't have photos, too busy enjoying a delicious meal.
September 03 · Etan WishCame in on a Friday morning, and ordered The peanut porridge which was excellent.Rich, creamy, and with a great texture. It had that slight gritty thickness I love, yet still smooth, with actual peanut bits throughout. It could’ve been just a touch sweeter, but that’s easy to adjust with a little extra sugar if you like. Easily some of the best peanut porridge I’ve ever had.
August 10 · Steven GayleI only came here because the Soldier's Restaurant is closed today. The macaroni pie tasted sweet and sour, like it went bad. And Jamaicans need to stop making macaroni pie. The cheese to macaroni ratio is ALWAYS off; Cheese on top and noodles on the bottom. I give the dish a 0. I couldn't bring myself to finish it. The cheese on the top was rubbery. I asked the lady if the chicken soup had dumpling and she said yes. I'm here digging for dumpling and all I get is 1 dumpling in a large chicken soup. The taste was decent. I give it a 2 out of 5. I only ate a couple of bites of chicken and the 1 dumpling. They also didn't give me a spoon, just a fork to eat the macaroni. The sorrel drink was also expired. I didn't notice until I got home. The currant roll was was okay. I give it a 2 out of 5This was my first time here and it will be my last. Eastern Parkway need more Caribbean restaurants like Flatbush. I don't think this restaurant will be here for long judging by the quality of the food. It was a waste of $22.
November 25 · TeaOxtail was good. But a bit expensive, $57.56
