What is worth choosing from the extensive buffet and menu at Picnic Garden BBQ Buffet? The true appeal lies in the breadth of the all-you-can-eat selection, but certain items consistently receive high praise and are considered must-try options for a first-time visit or a returning trip.
The clear choice for any patron is to maximize the grilling opportunity. Dive straight into the selection of high-quality, marinated K-BBQ meats. The King Kalbi and L.A. Kalbi (marinated beef short ribs) are consistently noted as favorites and are essential for experiencing the rich, authentic flavor profile of Korean BBQ. Following this, the Bulgogi, known for its sweet and savory marinade, and the Samgyupsal (Pork Belly) are excellent choices that represent the core of a great Korean barbecue meal. Unlike a standard steakhouse, the beauty here is being able to sample small, freshly grilled portions of each.
While the AYCE option is the main draw, the restaurant also offers à la carte options, which can be useful for takeout or those looking for specific portions. If ordering separately, popular per-pound meat cuts include the HangJeongSal (Pork Jowl) and Chadol Baegi (Beef Brisket). The seafood options, such as Squid and Spicy Squid, also offer a delicious alternative to the meat cuts.
To complement the grilled meats, make sure to explore the 'Hot Foods' section. The Japchae (Korean Stir-fried Glass Noodles) provides a savory, satisfying contrast to the grilled meats. The Korean Style Seafood Pancake (Pajeon) is a classic choice, offering a crispy, flavorful texture. For those who enjoy comforting fried items, the Picnic Garden Crispy Chicken Wings, available in various combos and flavors like Soy Garlic and Sweet and Spicy, have gained a following, providing a satisfying, non-BBQ option.
In essence, what's worth choosing at Picnic Garden BBQ Buffet is the flexibility and variety. It's an opportunity to create your own perfectly balanced Korean feast, mixing savory grilled meats with traditional side dishes and hot, prepared comfort foods. For the best experience, go for the all-you-can-eat package, bring a group, and sample as many of the diverse meat and side dish options as your appetite allows.
Picnic Garden BBQ Buffet continues to serve as a top-tier choice for all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ in the New York area. Located conveniently on Northern Boulevard in Flushing, it offers a winning combination of quantity, quality, and a lively atmosphere perfect for any occasion.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This one of place that bring back so many memories. It was a staple of fine Korean Barbecue for those of you who are in flushing way back! Angela the server were the best, attentive and on point! We had some much food and SOJU👍
July 15 · Curious UniverseI’ve been to many KBBQs and Picnic Garden ranks very well against all of them. The best thing are the prices. It’s very fair compared to a lot of KBBQs in my experience. The selection is also very good. I recommend coming for lunch or just after the dinner rush. Closer to closing time there won’t be as much to choose from but still a lot to enjoy.
May 15 · BuenaJayA group of 4 went there on a Saturday at 8pm and had no wait time. The meat options were buffet style so you grabbed what you wanted as you went instead of ordering each round. The staff will help you cook and changes grills about every 30 minutes. Many choices, and with cozy and intimate atmosphere, you’ll have a great time. The prime rib was excellent and don’t forget to grab and cream before you go!
December 29 · Afran Shamsuddin3 of us did the all you can eat for $40, beverages are not included. Meats are pulverized and thinly sliced so it can cook quickly on the mini grill found at every table. They change the burnt grill rack often and offer to cut your meats . All meat/seafood are seasoned and offer spicy versions. They also have a small section of cooked foods. But you do come out smelling like the grill. It's unavoidable. The location itself is large, but it seems they miss cleaning some spots.
February 25 · Mad daMCame in, they brought us around not showing any of the prices on the wall. When asked what the lunch special was “as before”, staff just nodded. When I turned around at some point, I noticed the sign of the food. It is far cheaper to go somewhere else for a lunch special for the food, both nearby or in Flushing Main Street. For the price, the quality isn’t there at all. 40$ a person is hilarious.
