The service at Puebla Home Deli, like any small business, can be a mixed experience, as highlighted by some customer feedback. One reviewer mentioned that while they found some issues with staff and food preparation, the cook was a "really nice guy" and they would still visit for a beer or juice. This kind of nuanced feedback is common for local spots that are part of the community fabric. On the other hand, another customer had a very positive experience, praising the "super nice staff" and calling their ham, egg, and cheese sandwich the "best" they've had in the area for a reasonable price. They also noted that the deli is not "skimping on anything," which is a huge plus for value-conscious customers. This shows that the deli is capable of providing excellent service and quality food that leaves a lasting positive impression.
Puebla Home Deli's commitment to inclusivity is another notable aspect of the business. It proudly identifies as an LGBTQ+ friendly and transgender safe space, which is a significant feature in today’s world. This commitment to creating a welcoming environment for all customers shows that the deli is more than just a place to buy goods; it's a place that cares about its community. The acceptance of various payment methods, including SNAP/EBT, credit cards, and mobile payments, also makes it highly accessible to a broad range of patrons, ensuring that its offerings are available to everyone. In a city like New York, where diverse needs are paramount, this level of accessibility is a strong point.
In conclusion, Puebla Home Deli is a local, Latinx-owned business that serves its neighborhood with a straightforward approach to food and convenience. It’s a spot that offers a mix of traditional Mexican dishes and deli favorites, all designed for a quick visit. Puebla Home Deli Reviews
beerpricebacon egg and cheese
★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I moved to the neighborhood months ago & I never understood why people go get food in the deli across the street more. I think I can write a review now explaining, not only does the store seem empty most of the time but it’s the workers who really make me not want to come back. The lady who was working today 07.14 around 4-6 is more interested in the tv then Sebring or hearing what you need. The tv shows the play are so loud you can’t even hear what you want to get in your head. The day before I came by to grab a beer which was 2.00$ and after the lady complaining with the guy cook about the price she told me the beer I now wanted was 3$. She’s rude, doesn’t give the energy that she even wants to be there. The older man who is the cook is also fairly unsanitary with his sweaty hat and any food you want from him is done in under 2 mins which is concerning in a way. I’ve had a few uncooked items from him but he’s a really nice guy, other than that.. I think beer and maybe juice is the only thing I would come here for. Be prepared to deal with rudeness from the older spanish woman though
