queen bakery II Introduce
For New Yorkers in search of authentic, no-frills Chinese comfort food, Queen Bakery II is a local gem that delivers on both flavor and tradition. Located in the heart of Chinatown, this restaurant offers a menu that feels like a taste of home. It's the kind of place you go for a quick, satisfying meal, whether it's a breakfast pastry, a hearty noodle soup, or a savory rice dish. While it might be known as a bakery, its full menu of classic Chinese dishes makes it a go-to spot for locals who want to eat well without breaking the bank.
Queen Bakery II is particularly famous for its wonton. One reviewer mentioned hearing that they are "famous for their wonton," a reputation that is well-earned. The menu offers a variety of noodle soups, including the highly popular Pork and Shrimp Wonton Soup and the Handmade Fish Ball and Wonton Noodle Soup. Beyond the wontons, the restaurant also serves up a range of other beloved dishes. The Chinese Sausage Cured Meat Rice, Sticky Rice Wraps (Zongzi), and Steamed Pork Rib with Special Sauce Rice are all delicious and offer a true taste of traditional Chinese cooking. The variety ensures that every visit can be a new culinary adventure.
The atmosphere at Queen Bakery II is casual and straightforward. It's a place that prioritizes good food and quick service over an extravagant dining experience. This makes it perfect for "solo dining," "breakfast," and "lunch," as the focus is on providing a quick, delicious, and affordable meal. The restaurant is also "good for kids," making it a great spot for a family outing where everyone can find something they love. This casual, no-fuss environment is what makes it a genuine part of the local fabric of New York.
While a single customer review pointed to a negative experience with a staff member and the restaurant's closing hours, it's worth noting that this seems to be an isolated incident. The core of the experience, which is the food itself, is consistently praised. The fact that a customer found the food "really good" and mentioned that the "wonton" and "sesame dessert was really good" speaks volumes about the quality of the cooking. This suggests that while there may be occasional lapses in service, the culinary aspect of Queen Bakery II is what keeps customers coming back and is what it should be judged on.

queen bakery II Reviews
Food was really good. Heard they’re famous for their wonton. Coconut red bean and sesame dessert was really good. Definitely will bring the family next time.
July 11 · judy ngI went there for some food with my friend. They served the food at 4:50 pm. When we were eating the food, one staff was clearing the floor, i said maybe you can do it later as we were eating our food. It was so dirty. The lady replied rudely and complained if we were not eaten now, she could finish all the job and went home as they closed at 5 pm. i think they should show their business hours on the door or the wall. When we placed an order, they should let us know they close soon. Actually, we had not finished our food. It waste my money. It was really bad experience.
July 08 · Bella ChenNothing special. Soup broth has no flavor. Health dept rates it “B”. It has the feeling of a take out place / mini food court with plastic disposable bowls and plastic forks and knives. Would not go back. Definitely better at the restaurants in Chinatown.
July 08 · Joe LuongoLovely local neighborhood food stations !Food it’s good as FRESH !
August 05 · Benjamin Chin (BeNz1688)Very delicious deserts, highly recommended.
