Reception Bar's identity is deeply rooted in its creative drink offerings. While some reviews suggest the drinks can be hit or miss, the general sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many customers raving about the "incredible cocktails" and "unique" flavors. Drinks like the "Cereal Milk," made with walnut milk and rice orgeat, and the "Melon Dew," a mix of soju, makgeolli, and honeydew, showcase a playful and inventive approach to mixology. The bar is known for its "great cocktails" and a menu that is "a treasure trove of unique concoctions." Beyond the drinks, the space itself offers a distinct experience. A customer noted the "minimalist aesthetic" and another highlighted the presence of a mahjong table, which adds to the bar's unique and social atmosphere. The outdoor seating is also a major draw, providing a pleasant way to enjoy the drinks while taking in the Orchard Street scene. This combination of a creative menu, a cool ambiance, and a commitment to providing a different kind of experience is what makes Reception Bar a standout in the city.

What is worth choosing
Choosing Reception Bar is about opting for a truly unique and memorable New York City nightlife experience. The most compelling reason to visit is the innovative and creative cocktail menu. As one reviewer noted, the drinks are "unique, especially the matcha flavor," showcasing the bar's commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional mixology. While a customer mentioned the "drinks were okay," many others have found the offerings to be "stunning creative and delicious." The soju-based drinks, infused with unexpected flavors like lotus, osmanthus, and honeydew, offer a refreshing alternative to standard cocktails. Beyond the drinks, the atmosphere is a significant draw. It's a place with "good vibes" that is both "cozy" and "trendy," perfect for a night out with friends or a casual date. The availability of outdoor seating and a small but satisfying food menu (including the highly-regarded Scarr's garlic knots) further enhances the experience. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Korean-inspired cocktail menu at this chill restaurant with a minimalist aesthetic. I enjoyed the outdoor seating and the drinks are unique, especially the match flavor.
May 24 · Rovik RobertDecent spot for some soju-based drinks. The best part about this place were the vibes for us, the drinks were okay.
June 07 · Khoi PhamDrinks were nothing notable, but the presentation was nice. Mostly soju-based cocktails, so if that’s your drink of choice, this may be your place. There’s a mahjong table as well for guests to sit at and play.
April 05 · Jasmine MJGreat vibe and solid drinks. Went in for drinks and it was pretty chill for Orchard on a Thursday night. However, as others have mentioned, the service is pretty cold. The girl bartending charged us for someone else’s larger order and then blamed us for not noticing (but was also weird about letting me see/hold the POS device, so I only noticed when leaving a tip). She made it seem like she was doing me a favor by refunding the incorrect charge (we were sitting directly in front of her at the bar the entire time, and had 1 drink each).Cool spot but not the most welcoming.
September 13 · Paul Sokolikincredible cocktails. great atmosphere. the service was… curt, and distant, but almost in a good way, like someone playing hard to get. it seemed like everyone there was already great friends with each other, smoking and playing games and laughing. including the coworkers. but it felt like a group you want to be part of. between the phenomenal drinks and the unique vibe, this may be the best bar in the city
