Red Bowl Reviews
This is such a nice hidden gem! It's very clean and beautiful on the inside, and the staff was really friendly. The food itself was affordable and delicious! I ordered the hot and sour soup and it was absolutely perfect. What's even more amazing though is the fried rice. You really would think that fried rice would just be what you would get at any other Chinese food restaurant but this rice was so amazingly compact with flavor. I literally have never had better fried rice. It's a must order if you go. I will definitely be back and next time with more people. 😀
August 09 · Nico ArchambaultWe were one of the very few Asian diners in the entire restaurant — including the staff — which already gave us a sense that this wasn’t your typical Chinese spot. It definitely didn’t have the feel or energy of a classic Chinese restaurant. The crispy beef was solid, but nothing that stood out — about on par with what you’d get at Joe’s Shanghai. The pan-fried seafood noodles were also decent, though the squid had a noticeably fishy taste.Given the location being so close to Sunset Park, it’s hard to justify coming here over the many great local Chinatown spots nearby. The lack of Asian diners probably speaks for itself.
July 28 · B. KimHighly recommend this excellent restaurant. Service is amazing and respectful and the food is high quality and delicious and the lunch specials are reasonably priced. The whole decor is beautiful even the bathrooms are stunning.
June 06 · Siobhan OdonnellThe atmosphere at Red Bowl was serene, setting the stage for a pleasant takeout experience. While I waited, I was graciously offered a glass of water, which I appreciated. I ordered the garlic eggplant, and it was wonderfully flavorful—clean, light, and infused with garlic's aromatic essence. I also inquired about the party menu, and JD kindly provided insightful information. My chicken corn soup was perfectly balanced, not heavy on corn starch, and simply delicious. I will certainly be back for more of their exceptional food.
September 22 · Diana MekaI almost never go to Bay Ridge, but when I heard that this restaurant was good, I had to take a trip to try it for myself. It had a really great atmosphere, a bar upfront, and a lot of space to accommodate quite a few people. The food was great. I tried their Sesame Chicken and my girl; the crispy beef, which is very similar to the Sesame Chicken. Overall, the experience we had was good, we both liked the food, and the drinks were OK. The next time we visit, the bar would be the better option for sitting as it offers a better atmosphere for couples.
