What Is Worth Choosing
The vast menu at Laila Bayridge is brimming with must-try items that capture the essence of Syrian culinary art. When deciding what to order, guests are encouraged to explore the less common, highly-praised dishes alongside the familiar classics.
Starting with Cold Appetizers, the Laila Combo ($26.40)—a selection of Hummus, Baba Ghanogh, Labneh, and Muhamara—is the perfect way to sample the exceptional dips. For a heartier starter, the Kibbeh ($16.80), with its cracked wheat dough filled with spiced meat and pine nuts, comes highly recommended. Don't skip the Spicy Potato ($14.40) from the Hot Appetizers section—diced and fried potato sautéed with cilantro and onions, it’s a flavorful side or small plate.
The "Grandma's Kitchen" section is where the heart of Syrian home cooking lies. The Fattet Makdous ($36.00)—stuffed eggplant with ground meat over tahini sauce, mixed yogurt garlic, rice, and chopped pita—is a joyous casserole and a true highlight. If you love savory meat dishes, the Lamb Chops ($42.00) or the Laila Mixed Grill ($42.60), which combines Kafta, Shish Kabab, and Shish Tawook, are grilled to perfection and served with grilled vegetables, rice, or fries. For seafood enthusiasts, the Grilled Branzini ($42.60) is seasoned with aromatic Syrian spices and served with Muhamara, offering a fresh and flavorful option.
Finally, no authentic Middle Eastern meal is complete without dessert. While classic Baklava ($14.40) is always a fantastic choice, the warm, gooey Kunefe ($14.40)—shredded phyllo pastry filled with cheese and served sweet—is a popular, traditional finish. Paired with a refreshing Lemonade Mint ($8.40) or one of their superb cocktails, you’ll have a complete and satisfying meal. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had a wonderful experience at Laila Restaurant in Bay Ridge! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the authentic Syrian dishes 🤌🏼🤤 full of flavor and beautifully presented. The ambiance was warm, welcoming, and truly added to the overall dining experience. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and the atmosphere. Highly recommend if you're looking for amazing Middle Eastern cuisine in Brooklyn!
August 27 · Ayesha AmjadThis is THE spot, truly wholeheartedly. If it’s your first day in Brooklyn or even if you’ve lived here a thousand years, even if this was your very first experience with food, you have to come here. Starting from the basics, the ambience and the overall air of the environment invites you in. There’s a section facing the outside that has the most gorgeous canopy of greenery and it becomes even more beautiful as the evening approaches and the table lighting flourishes. The food is divine, and the service even more so. Each worker has their own story to tell and the warmest energy. If it was my first time dining here, I would just put all my trust into Rania and Roger and let the show of flavors commence. Tina provided such sweet and very patient service, she was so helpful and kind. Arda is a very thoughtful and kind bartender with magical talents who produces absolute artwork and mastery of the craft. They are all so amazing, with the best smiles and friendliest interactions. And it’s truly a beautiful spirit that flows through the space, the people, and the food.

Whether you’re coming for a special occasion, a date night, or just to treat yourself, this is the place that sets the bar for excellence in Brooklyn dining. Food, ambiance, and service: top of the top.Highly, highly recommended.
August 29 · Vadim NarodetskiyDelicious Syrian food! Beautiful atmosphere, attentive and welcoming staff! The fatoush salad was beyond expectations, the grilled meat was delicious ! I don’t recommend the liver, it was not as expected. The pastries come with 4 tiny pieces and it’s over priced. Overall, the food was great!
June 15 · Hiyam HIncredible food and service. Easily the best Arab food I’ve had outside of the Middle East. We came late on a Saturday night and Rania greeted us and let us order before the kitchen closed. She even helped us choose foods she recommended. Everything was delicious, fresh, and tender. My husband and I were in a food and flavor coma. We tried to leave a cash tip but she was honest and told us on Friday and Saturday night an 18% tip was included. We wouldn’t have caught that on the receipt so that was kind of her. Still left a little extra cash for the busboys. I would definitely come back here and next time save room for dessert!
