Satmar Matzah Bakery Introduce
In the heart of Brooklyn, amidst the bustling streets and vibrant neighborhoods, lies a bakery unlike any other: Satmar Matzah Bakery. This isn't your typical sweet shop with croissants and cakes; it is a place dedicated to a time-honored tradition of producing fresh, handmade matzah, the unleavened bread central to the Jewish holiday of Passover. For many in New York, and especially for those in the local community, this bakery is more than just a business—it's a spiritual and cultural hub, a place where a powerful sense of tradition and community can be felt in the air.
The experience of visiting Satmar Matzah Bakery is unique. It's a place where you can witness a centuries-old process brought to life. The atmosphere is described by visitors as filled with "excitement to perform the Mitzvah of Matzah," reflecting the deep reverence and care that goes into every single batch. The bakery's commitment to quality and tradition is paramount, and this dedication is what makes their product so special. It's a place that buzzes with purpose, especially during the busy lead-up to Passover, when families from all over come to get their supply of this essential ritual food.
While a typical bakery might be known for its variety of pastries, Satmar Matzah Bakery specializes in one item, perfecting it with meticulous care. This focus allows them to uphold strict religious standards, known as "kashrus and hiddurim," ensuring that every piece of matzah is made to the highest level of kosher stringency. This singular focus on a specific, traditional product sets it apart from other bakeries in the city, making it a destination for those who value authenticity and heritage. The friendly and welcoming people who work and visit here create an environment that is both professional and deeply personal, making every transaction a pleasant one.

March 09 · Binyamin KorenbergPleasant experience, Quick service. In and out in about 10 minutes. They also offer local delivery.
April 01 · Moshe HellerCalled ahead of time to get matzah, and was told to come in. Arrived to have not a SINGLE person speak to me/ask why I was there. Many looked at me, even walked around me, but refused to engage with or acknowledge me. If you want a much friendlier, tastier, and overall more satisfying, I would suggest Kerestir Matzah Bakery about 10 minutes away. They know the real meaning of community.
April 26 · Lily BlainWhat a shock. This place is an absolute PLEASURE !! I'm not a member of any of the Satmar Kehilos, I walked in off the street, ordered and paid for my Matzos, walked to another window, got the matzoh and walked out.No pushing no screaming. Mamesh a Mechaya.
