★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1WOW - the cinnamon roll I got from Tall Poppy was one of the most delicious I’ve ever had. It’s unassuming but the bread is incredible, perfect chewy center and just enough frosting. I’m a big frosting person so I was a little worried, but it was perfect in the end. Truly one not to be missed! All their pastries looked delicious, but I’m a big cinnamon roll fan so checked it out. Would highly recommend!! Really cute shop with a couple outdoor tables too.
September 09 · Lilly MaguireIt has now become one of my favorite bakeries. Outstanding croissants and buns. Overall strong flavors and on the sweet side. Good on a day you are craving sweet or deserve treats.Technically a take-out only spot, but now they put some chairs and tables outside.🥐❤️🔥✨Croissant was a MUST! The dough was sooooo professionally made. Crispy layers, soft, chewy and pliable.💜The fig one was really really delicious with a great balance between sweetness and saltiness. The Black Forest one was a little bit too intense (and no cherry flavors at all) but definitely for chocolate lovers.Buns are a YES. It was so soft, a little bit chewy and still pliable. However, flavors were really sweet. (just a reminder) Classic cinnamon one was straightforward. Thai tea flavor was even more sweet.
July 14 · Julia HEnjoyable pastries. Really liked the croissant even though I didn’t expect to based on how thick it was. Thicker and doughier with more layers but it worked. More like a Kouign-amann than a traditional croissant. Cinnamon bun was solid. Would go back to try the everything cruffin and other items. Really nice service person behind the counter.
July 27 · the bbI visited Tall Poppy on a Wednesday around 8:50 AM and it wasn't busy. The staff member was very friendly. There are a few tables/seats outside the bakery.Black Forest CroissantMy least favorite of the items I ordered. The croissant was nice and flakey, but compared to the other items, this was just a slightly different version of a pain au chocolat.Everything CruffinThis was excellent. Definitely recommend.Smore BunThis was excellent. Definitely recommend.Iced Pistachio MatchaReally lacking in matcha flavor. Do not recommend.I would come back for the everything cruffin.
July 25 · Vivian AnneHave you ever had a croissant and then dreamt about it all day? I did after eating one at Tall Poppy. I sat outside at a small round red table to eat it. The croissant had a burnished golden exterior with a sheen of honey on top. The interior was buttery and flaky. Each bite gave me such joy and I ate it slowly. I always thought that the croissants at Alf’s Bakery and The Bakery at the Greywind were the best in the City. While they are good, Tall Poppy’s croissant is impressive and far superior.
