The worth of a visit to The Sleeping Cat is found in its signature items. Based on customer feedback and the menu, the baked goods, particularly the pies, are a major draw. The Strawberry Shortcake is listed as one of their "Favorite" items for a reason, promising a delightful treat. One customer specifically raved about the cinnamon rolls, saying, "I’ve tried every one in manhattan that I can find. Somehow this place makes them better than every single place I’ve been too." This is a strong testament to the quality and unique flavor of their baked goods, even if they aren't explicitly on the main menu list provided. While some reviews mentioned mixed feelings about the staff's attitude or a less-than-perfect drink experience, the consensus on the quality of the baked goods is overwhelmingly positive. This makes the bakery an excellent choice for anyone with a sweet tooth looking for a high-quality treat. The savory items, such as the Chicken Hand Pie, also provide a substantial and satisfying option for a light lunch or snack. The coffee, while noted by one customer to be watery, is a staple of their offerings, and it's worth exploring the variety of choices, from a simple Americano to a more complex Tea Latte. Overall, The Sleeping Cat's value lies in its commitment to providing delicious, homemade-style baked goods in a convenient and accessible location, making it a worthy destination for a sweet escape in the city.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had mix feelings about this place. Things look good but the attitude of the staff team was hard to handle and make people want to leave early. It might depend on how you like the way they interact with customers but it was too harsh for me as a first-time visitor.Cappuccino was watery, no foam on top.
September 11 · Julia HAll I can say is: cinnamon rolls. I’ve tried every one in manhattan that I can find. Somehow this place makes them better than every single place I’ve been too. Cream cheese frosting, good amount of cinnamon, chewy but firm dough. And the dough has that perfect and specific taste. Sleeping Cat, if you are reading this, you need to promote those. But ONLY if you can keep that same quality in volume!
July 29 · Alec BatisAs adorable as a Sleeping Cat! Roomy and full of wooden seats and comfy chairs, homemade pies and scones and their strawberry shortcake is so tasty and refreshing, topped with vanilla cream, strawberries, on their scones. Their iced latte was also so delicious! Would come back and work from here. Trying their pies next.5 stars!!!
July 10 · Bonnie GleicherThe Sleeping Cat is my new happy place! Everything is a 10!! The service is IMPECCABLE!! I HIGHLY recommend both the pecan pie and chicken hand pie. The crust is krypnoite!! Also, try the White Monkey tea. It’s a tasty green tea that’s inviting (even for a novice like myself) The Sleeping Cat is such a vibe🔥❤️🐱!!!
May 15 · D'Andrea CrossleyThis is a nice shop—cute location with ample seating (indoor/outdoor), books, games, and delicious pastries with generous portions. The person who took my order was friendly and welcoming. It seems like a great place to get work done or to meet with friends in a cafe setting after hours.Everyone seemed really comfortable there, for better or for worse:- One staff member was speaking pretty loudly about a gnarly chin injury, which started making me lose my appetite.- One customer was really enjoying the cozy atmosphere and took off her shoes to curl up on the furniture. I noticed a scent, which also upset my appetite. These were temporary, circumstantial things, so I’d say the place is still worth a visit!
