★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had a fantastic time at dinner with my buddy! The staff was incredibly accommodating, super nice, and really informative. It was so nice to just sit back, relax, and soak in the ambiance. I also loved the people around us. One of the best parts about this place was that it wasn’t overcrowded at all. Perfect food for a even perfect night.#TheCookery

July 12 · Aubz AubzI really wanted to love this place, but I left extremely disappointed. FOUR presents itself as high end fine dining with a tasting menu at a hefty price point, but the experience fell far short of expectations. The most glaring letdown was the A5 Wagyu. This is supposed to be the pinnacle of beef; rich, decadent, and melt in your mouth when prepared correctly. Instead, what I was served was almost entirely fat with no balance of texture or flavor. It felt more like an afterthought than the showcase item it should have been. For a restaurant charging these prices, that’s inexcusable. The rest of the tasting leaned heavily on finger foods. That’s not necessarily bad, but for a restaurant striving for refined presentation, the absence of something as simple as hand wipes was baffling. Eating with your hands is fine, but guests shouldn’t be left looking for a way to clean up between courses.I came in with high hopes as a passionate foodie, but the gap between the concept and the execution here is enormous. For the money, there are far better fine dining experiences on Long Island and in the city.
August 16 · VictoriaThe food was exceptional. The flavors were well balanced and everything was delicious. We had the wine pairing and they offered a selection of both classic and unique wines. The atmosphere was also pleasing. My only qualm would be my interaction with the chefs. When I go to these types of restaurants, the chefs are usually more interactive or there's at least one chef that matches what you want socially. I felt dismissed there. I asked about a beautiful presentation and was told not to worry about it because it wasn't supposed to be eaten and that it was dirt. It wasn't dirt. If I didn't want to interact with chefs, I'd save my time and money by eating at a conventional restaurant. Nevertheless, I didn't take off stars because I may be in the minority with my interaction preferences and Jared, our host and sommelier, was excellent. He could read the room that I wanted to interact, he answered my questions, and he match my enthusiasm for the experience. We'll likely return, but I'll manage my expectations when it comes to interacting with the chefs.
December 03 · Claudine Jones-BourneA wonderful birthday dinner and so special to sit at Four! This restaurant is an intimate experience into the eyes of the kitchen where they work as a team creating some of the best food! The tasting we had was 17 courses all one bite and left feeling satisfied. Whether you are at 2 Spring or Four Spring you are getting top tier service and flavors. Every dish is curated with attention and detail along with hours of prep from a caring team of individuals.
