★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We came here for brunch on a Saturday after our morning run, without a reservation, and were seated right away. We ordered the Farmer's Breakfast, the half roast chicken with fried potatoes, the chef's special blueberry buttermilk pancakes, and fresh orange juice. The Farmer's Breakfast was just okay for me, it was a bit too greasy, though I appreciated that the sausage is made inhouse. The roast chicken was tender and full of flavor, but the fried potatoes were overly oily. The highlight of the meal was definitely the chef's special blueberry buttermilk pancakes its light, fluffy, and delicious.Service was on the slower side. We had to flag someone down a few times for water refills and other requests. The restaurant is nestled on the quiet neighborhood. It was clean and has cute interiors.
August 25 · babyluv macThe Commerce Inn has a really warm and welcoming feel—the kind of place where the staff makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The service is genuinely outstanding, and the atmosphere has a cozy, inviting charm that’s hard to beat in the city. That said, the food doesn’t quite live up to the rest of the experience. It’s not bad, but it lacks the spark you’d expect given everything else they get so right. If you’re after friendly hospitality and a great vibe, it’s a lovely stop, but if food is your main priority, you might leave a bit underwhelmed.
September 10 · Alon JuwalHighly highly recommend brunch at the commerce inn. Best pancakes in the city - perfect combo of fluffy and crispy on the edges. Farmers breakfast very hearty but delicious. Carrot dish was great with yummy glaze. Can’t wait to go back and try a Bloody Mary with my brunch.
April 27 · Kristina ITucked away on Commerce Street, The Commerce Inn feels like a quiet time-capsule in the heart of the West Village. Sturdy wood tables, soft candle-light, and servers who strike the perfect balance between friendly and unfussy—warm hospitality without the fuss.Food: Everything tastes thoughtfully made from scratch. The omelette was the star—silky, perfectly seasoned, and deceptively simple. Don’t skip the scones: flaky, still warm, and paired with butter and jam.Value: Prices lean high, but the quality and portions more than justify it. We lingered for nearly two hours and never felt rushed. Whether you’re after an intimate date-night spot or a slow, comforting Sunday brunch, The Commerce Inn delivers that uncomplicated, satisfied glow you hope for every time you dine out. Highly recommend.
May 13 · Cody RasmussenGood was absolutely fantastic- fresh and tasty and good sized portions. Served was a great guy- funny and helpful and patient! We sat outside on a beautiful September evening and just had a truly delightful evening. Not cheap but it felt worth it.I would say it was noisy inside. Really noisy. I was glad to be outside.
