Oscar’s is a tiny space with outdoor seating that is considerably more commodious than the inside. Food was palatable. The staff were friendly and watching the West Village elite strolling by was probably the best feature of our experience.

My time here satisfied all my expectations. I love everything I have ordered there. The workers provide exceptional care. Eating here fits modest budgets. I'm completely loyal to Oscar's Place.

I and 3 friends ate here for the first time last night. AMAZING!!!!! A very small place and how the chef and staff make it all come together is astonishing! FOOD: DELICIOUS AND SERVED UP WITH STYLE AND GOOD PORTIONS! SERVICE: ATTENTIVE AND SO EFFICIENT! ATMOSPHERE: QUIET WITH VERY NICE MUSIC OF STANDARDS AND LOW JAZZ IN THE BACKGROUND!DO NOT BE PUT OFF BY THE SIZE OF THE PLACE — IT IS A GREAT AND RARE FIND! I’ve been here 3 times. I wish I took better photos. This place is charming. It’s tiny. The service is friendly and fast. The people who work here, including the chef, are warm and kind and easy going. The Belgian hot chocolate is fresh and delicious. My French onion soup, eggs and toast, salad and a tuba melt w fries were each delicious. They play French music and 1930 ‘s jazz and pleasant music to eat to. The cozy, candlelit, yellow tuliped atmosphere is sweet. I love this place!!

My Bestie brought me here to try their fish and chips which she raves about. I must say the fish and chips were quite tasty. Their halibut on the other hand was dry and overcooked. The calamari was surprisingly tasty. The ambiance is nice and the staff are attentive. Would return for more fish and chips.
