★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We had a great dinner at this Chinese restaurant last night! The food was delicious — we ordered the imperial tofu (they kindly made it milder for my kid), the jumbo peppercorn shrimp, and the dry green beans. Everything came out quickly, which we really appreciated with a child in tow. Portions were generous — we had enough leftovers for a light lunch. The prices are reasonable, the decor is lovely, and the service was thoughtful. It’s best to pay in cash otherwise they charge the transaction fee. I’d definitely recommend it and look forward to going back!
July 02 · Lorena Garcia GironThey have a very reasonably priced lunch for midtown, and one of the options is a Kung Pao variant with cashews instead of peanuts which I actually prefer and hasn't seen too much of in American-Chinese joints. The chicken was tender and the veg on point. The sauce was savory but absolutely not cloying like it sometimes get.My only minor complaint is that you don't get a non soup option for the lunch starter. It was also hard to get eye contact with the servers once it got busy (I sat at the bar).
July 31 · OrrA good variety of food that could appeal to everyone’s tastes. Not everything is the most authentic but the food was still good and perhaps more approachable to those less familiar with the cuisine. The portions are big (you could share two among three people) and pretty affordable for NYC.
March 17 · L.I had their lunch offering of stir-fried BEEF with scallions ($14) which was tasty and I enjoyed. It came with a tasty egg roll and choice of white or brown rice. There was not a lot of beef, but what was there was of a good quality. Their egg drop soup was watery and I stoped eating it after two spoonfuls. The same thing with LAMB was poor because the lamb had no taste.
April 27 · Harvey MessingWe ordered the ribs duck and the imperial chicken. The ribs were on lettuce that was drenched in a strange greasy sweet sauce that appeared to be coming off of the ribs which were mainly fat and had a strange smell! The chicken which was mainly fried batter had a strange taste the sauce itself was nice but the chicken had a weird taste like the oil was bad or had not been changed most of the “chicken” was just lumps of batter - the duck was just ok but cold - my husband ordered a cocktail when we first arrived which when brought over the glass was only half full, during our entire dinner we was not offered another drink the only time we saw a waiter was to bring the “food” and even then no smile it was just pushed in front of us, no one asked how our meal was there was just no interaction I will not be back I am really disappointed with this and wish I had of listened to the other reviews that are giving the same feed back as me!
