I dont understand why its so hard to get decent Jamaican porridge these days. This lumpy over sweetened mess cost me like $8. I got the large because the line was so long that i assumed the food must be on the hook. No jamaican pride. I dont want lumpy grits, farina, or porridge. How can you serve this crap with a straight face. I seen a sign on the glass by register that said they wouldn't give refunds and i should have taken that as a sign to keep my money. No one would want a refund on your food if its good. Have you guys never heard of a strainer?? Now i have no breakfast before work and no time to get anything else. Waste of time and money.

I was impressed with the order process. But that was all there was to be impressed about. Oh wait, y he little bammy were awesome! I was disappointed when I git home and opened the bag, and the little fried dumplings had shrunk about a bit soft anyway. I tried to cut them open so I could reheat in the airfryer and the knife struggle to go through. (Note:The picture is the day after. They were left over& easier to handle. Also cut through effortlessly. )I changed the knife for the second 1, and the experience was the same. It was almost like the dough was too wet, and the oil was unable to soak through! They were awful! And even after the airfryer, they were still not better , just crisp and devoid of salt. If someone that shouldn't eat salt is a concern for the dough maker, well...Personally, it was my 1st time there but isn't likely to go back. I live in the city. Schleping to the Bronx was a treat, and I regret it, especially on a Friday evening!

I ordered a combo #2 which comes with two whiting two plaintain and two dumplings. I should have known the bag was too light. I got home and only two pieces of whiting after I paid 7.24!!! Now we scamming customers

I usually stop by this place to get fried dumplings and whitings with plantains. The dumplings are not bad. It's just a little greasy for me. The plantains are also greasy, and sometimes a little burn. They only give you like 3-4 tiny pieces of plantains (they dont cut them like the realize size).The whitings are not bad either. They are usually nice and fresh. It could take a little more salt, but I know they probably don't want to add anymore due to people having hypertension.The escovitch seasoning(onion, pepper, and carrots) is actually really good. To get extra, you have to pay 15 cents. Which I don't mind. But I just don't see the extra on the plate.The servers are polite but move a little too slow in serving the food.I do enjoy their chicken soup. It has pumpkin and all the other ground provision in it. It's really rich and delicious.Overall, it's not bad. I will keep going back.

The portion size is not worth it!I paid for a large soup meat and dumplings only. To get only three dumplings and two pieces of meat for $12 is just crazy, that’s robbery. Never again.
