The Woodstock Introduce
In the bustling and trendy Meatpacking District, where high-end experiences often come with an equally high price tag, The Woodstock offers a refreshing and approachable alternative. This bar is not just a place for drinks; it’s a destination that perfectly balances a fun, casual atmosphere with a menu of surprisingly delicious food and reasonably priced beverages. Its name hints at a laid-back, free-spirited vibe, and the venue delivers on that promise with a relaxed, no-frills setting. It's the kind of place where you can easily pop in after a long afternoon of walking and exploring the nearby High Line, providing a much-needed haven for a quick meal and a drink. The Woodstock embodies a trending, lively spirit, making it a popular choice for both New Yorkers and visitors looking to have a good time without the formality of a traditional restaurant or cocktail lounge. It’s a place for walk-ins, spontaneous get-togethers, and a good time with friends, embodying the vibrant energy of the neighborhood it calls home.
The menu at The Woodstock is a major part of its unique appeal. While many bars focus solely on their drink selection, The Woodstock pairs its offerings with a curated food menu, with a particular highlight being their thin-crust Neapolitan-style pizzas, crafted by the renowned Nino Coniglio. These aren't just an afterthought; they're a key component of the experience. The pizza menu, with creatively named pies like "Aretha" (Margarita) and "Gloria" (Primo Tartufo), provides a range of options for every taste. The Primo Tartufo, in particular, has received high praise for its amazing flavor. The cocktails are another major draw, with all "Premium" cocktails priced at an affordable $10, a rarity in this part of Manhattan. The menu categorizes its spirits and liquors into "Premium," "Boujie," and "Extra," with each category offering a unique selection and an incremental price increase. This structure gives customers the flexibility to choose their preferred level of quality and price. The cocktail names, like "Yellow Submarine" and "Purple Haze," are a nod to the bar’s namesake and add a playful touch to the drinking experience. Beyond cocktails, they offer a solid selection of beer, wine, and bubbles, ensuring there is something for everyone.

What is worth choosing?
For New Yorkers and visitors looking for a great value and a lively time in the Meatpacking District, The Woodstock is a compelling choice. What makes it particularly worthwhile is its unique combination of affordable drinks and surprisingly good food. The $10 premium cocktails are a major selling point in a city where drinks can be prohibitively expensive. While some might find them a little on the watery side, the price point and the variety of fun, creative options make them a great value. The real standout, however, is the food. The thin-crust Neapolitan-style pizzas are a must-try. The "Gloria" (Primo Tartufo) pizza, in particular, is highly recommended for its unique and delicious flavor profile. These pizzas, along with the cocktails, make The Woodstock a more complete dining experience than a typical bar. The fact that the place is often packed with people and has a loud, energetic atmosphere adds to its appeal as a fun night-out destination.
While the loud music and busy crowd might not be for everyone, if you're in the mood for a vibrant, social setting, The Woodstock delivers. The friendly and accommodating nature of the staff, as noted by customers, contributes to a positive experience. It's a place that welcomes you in, whether you have a plan or are just looking for a last-minute spot. The combination of its convenient location near the High Line, its excellent value on drinks, and its surprisingly high-quality pizza makes The Woodstock a truly unique and worthwhile stop in the Meatpacking District. It's a place to relax, have a good time, and enjoy some solid drinks and food without breaking the bank. For a fun, casual, and tasty experience in one of New York's most dynamic neighborhoods, The Woodstock is definitely worth a visit.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1After a long afternoon walking and having fun by The High Line two things are true: you’ve walked a lot, you’re hungry. It’s night now, we don’t know what we want, we don’t want to eat anything crazy. All I know is food and drinks are always a good idea! After asking around, an awesome waiter in a nearby restaurant recommended us this place so we decided to give it a try!As soon as we got there, all tables were taken but they were able to squeeze us in. Being that it was in the middle of September, it was still pretty hot even at night. It was almost way too hot, their air was broken, it was packed with people, loud music and a random rave-y party thing going on in the back. Well, we didn’t really care since we were just there for pizza and drinks so it’s all good.We ordered the Margherita pizza (Aretha) and the Primo Tartufo (Gloria) this last one was amazing! Nothing out of this world but definitely delicious. However, for a personal pie at $20 I’ve had better.I was in the mood for Aperol so I went with the Femme Fatale. $10 is great for drinks in the city so I can’t complain! The other drinks we got (purple haze and 1969) just ended up getting a little watery. Like I said, $10 is great regardless. One detail: open seats, no waiters/waitresses. Very casual ambiance. It’s really loud in here so it’s a bit hard to hear eachother even sitting right next to the person.Overall: fun night, cheap drinks, good pizza. I can’t give this place 4 stars since the overall experience didn’t deserve it.
November 09 · Marietta CThey welcome walk-ins. Cocktails and mocktails are reasonably priced here. The Maghrita pizza was a good light snack to have if you have had a heavy breakfast before. Nice colorful place to visit if walking about in meatpacking district Manhattten west side.
March 19 · Lamiaa Rizwan KhanSuper pricy but the food was delicious. You have to go to the bar to get your food but it's delivered to you via the number they give you when you go sit down. Otherwise, the place is pleasant. Great vibes. The drinks are a little tangy (even the sweetest one).
March 23 · Danielle SeamonThis hippie style bar has the most amazing gourmet cocktails, drink menu that gets refresh offering new cocktail creations from season to season, great gourmet pizza available in case you need a snack, also pool table and spacious tables with comfortable sitting to fit large groups. In pictures their famous very tasty cocktail Evil Ways.
June 20 · Tatiana VasquezThe pizza and cocktail was pretty good. The service was also good. I guess I was expecting a different kind of atmosphere. I was expecting it to be more chill. Maybe playing some 60's music.
