★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Interesting experience. From the outside, Yakiniku Gen looks like a Japanese yakiniku restaurant, but the menu leans heavily Korean—kimchi, cold noodlesWe ordered beef tongue ($30 for 4 slices) and a small meat platter (~$90), both decent in flavor. But for the price, it felt hard to justify—especially with such plain interior decor.Service was okay, but overall the value just wasn’t there. Not somewhere I’d revisit.
June 24 · MaydonshootsThe meat is delicious and the cut is good, especially the beef tongue. The sauce is a great pair with the meat. Our server (Ahmed) is extremely helpful and friendly, he helped us with the cook. I definitely recommend coming to this place.
August 26 · Skye ChenThis is as authentic Japanese BBQ as you can get outside of Japan! The cleanliness, extremely appreciative and friendly service takes me back to tokyo, which i miss. All the food is FANTASTIC, possibly the best beef tongue I've ever had. Come now, before word gets out and you have to wait a month!! Seriously.
August 05 · Jamie StewartThis is a great restaurant for groups of 2+ people. The atmosphere feels authentic and once you enter you are immediately greeted by everyone in the restaurant. Service is attentive and kind, and we will be recommending this to friends. Although all the meat was good the waygu sushi is a dish everyone should try at least once in their life.
May 25 · Fran DrezgaBeen here a few times — the meat is always top quality and super tasty, with lots of options. There’s some natural light inside, but the vibe could be better. The potato salad is amazing — it’s my go-to every time! A little expensive but worth the money.
