★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Just walk in and you’ll be so moved you will have to try some of their pastries. Places like this is what makes me love NYC. Family owned and operated Bakery. It’s all great and it smells absolutely amazing inside. I get the Chocolate Rugelach and the Linzer Cookies. So good, every time I am in the area I spot by cause it’s grandma’s recipes and you can’t beat that.
April 18 · Michael TagarisI've been meaning to try this bakery for awhile. I'm glad I did. They have a nice variety of Hungarian desserts. I took home the a Honey Slice and a Sachet Torte which has Chocolate and Apricot. Mom and I shared them both. They are both very rich. They were 😋. The prices are average and the service is good.
March 05 · Vivianne BarrettoCame here on a mission for a friend who has been searching for this exact dessert for years. It’s pretty big! And sooo delicious. A shortbread type tart shell filled with a tower of chocolate mousse and completely dipped in chocolate that hardens to a cool shell. The woman was really nice and I grabbed a few other items while I was there because everything looked so good. Prices were very reasonable too!
June 03 · Jillian BlochAs a first generation American born to parents that came from Budapest Hungary, it is nice to find a Hungarian pastry shop. Since I no longer live in NYC any longer, I order my poppyseed Beiglis to be delivered to Virginia. They are always fresh and tasty.
September 11 · TomIt’s a mini bakery with all of my favorites. Love the window you already see the cheese danish and their “siblings” Multiple times I got Hungarian sweets or biscuits from here…The cheese amazing my latest time was a bit hard and dry (maybe because was a cold day) but I warm up in the oven (you can do microwave also) and feels like just freshly baked. Dobos and chocolate mousse exactly made just like in my country, and the cherry pie (square Hungarian) for the pie lovers the absolutely best! Never skip the strudels!!The lady behind a counter very-very helpful and she let my mom choose the pastry whenever she would like to pick. Explained how we can order by phone, prices and payments etc. I have a very busy month so I will order couple of things here for the holidays!
